Established in 1987, Kuvempu University is a state university located in Shimoga, Karnataka. The university is UGC approved, NAAC accredited with ‘A’ grade. Kuvempu University admissions are based on both merits of candidate’s qualifying examinations and entrance tests conducted by the university itself. Admission to the Kuvempu University PhD is made based on marks secured in the entrance examination.
Aspirants seeking admission to 2 years Full-time M.Sc. program should have passed B.Sc degree of Kuvempu University or UGC recognized University with any three of the following options; Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Sericulture/Computer Science or B.Sc Biotechnology with any other two optional papers, B.Sc. Agri., B.Sc Horticulture, B.Sc Forestry, B.F.Sc and B.V. Sc from the recognized University.
The MCA management quota fee structure has not been disclosed in online mode by Kuvempu University.
For admission to PhD in English you need to have passed Master’s with 55% or more and then appear for NET exam. And as of now, the exam is over and you need to appear for next year around June 2024.

If you haven’t appeared for PGCET exam then you cannot get admission to PG courses at KU Shimoga.
There is no age limit criteria available in online mode for pursuing PhD in Kuvempu University.
The Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam will be conducted in the second week of November 2024. It will be organized by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).
The college will begin by December 1st week 2023 and the fee structure is available at KU Shimoga Courses & fees.
Kuvempu University offers the MSc in microbiology course. It does not offer an MSc in life sciences or zoology.
