About Tumkur University
Tumkur University, established in 2004, is one of the most renowned State University of Karnataka. It is a part of the Bangalore University established to provide education to the students coming from the district of Tumkur. The University is Deemed to be a 'B' grade University by the NAAC.
The University has 24 postgraduate and 19 undergraduate departments with 2 constituent colleges and 94 affiliated colleges. The University also offers PG Diploma and Ph.D. Courses.

Admission to all the programs is done on the basis of Merit. Entrance Exams and further Interview have to be given to take Admission in PG and Ph.D. Courses. The University also accepts GATE / JRF / SLET score for Ph.D. Admissions.

Selection Criteria:
- Under-Graduate Courses: For admission in these courses, the candidate must have 50% marks in the required subject in 12th class. Selection would be done on basis of the merit list.The candidates shortlisted based on their marks in 12th class are called to the university for the document verification process.
- Post-Graduate Courses: The candidate seeking admission in post-Graduation must have a degree with 50% marks in Graduation in the relevant subject.The candidate has to appear for a written test conducted by the university for taking admission in postgraduate courses. PGCET Entrance Exam is conducted for MBA and MCA Courses. Exam is conducted for other Courses by the University itself. Shortlisted candidates are called for the next round which is the personal interview. The admission is done based on the overall performance of the Candidate.
- Doctorate Courses: The Admissions in the Doctoral Degree are done based on Written Test and Personal Interview conducted by the University.The candidates seeking a doctorate from the University must have an PG Degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject.The University also accepts GATE/JRF/SLET score for Ph.D. admissions.

- Availability of Application form: Application form for UG Courses will be obtained through post by sending an envelope to Registrar of University.Application form for PG Courses except MBA & MCA will also be obtained through post by sending an envelope to Registrar of University. Application form for MBA & MCA will be available on the Official Website of University.
- Where to send Application form:Filled Application form for UG Courses along with Required Documents and Application fees should be sent to UG Department at Tumkur University. For PG Courses except MBA and MCA, Form should be sent to Chairperson of Concerned PG Department at Tumkur University. For MBA, MCA, Application form should be sent to Nodal Officer-Consortium for PGCET 2020, Rani Channamma University Vidya Sangam, PBNH – 4, Belagavi – 591156.
- Application fee: Application fee of INR 250 (INR 125 for SC/ST) for UG Courses, INR 800(INR 400 for SC/ST) for MBA/MCA, INR 350 for PG Courses except MBA/MCA should be sent to Finance Officer of Tumkur University.

- Network Operation Centre:It provides with network operation centres.University campus has 420 LAN points and 10 Wi-Fi devices. University’s existing network is decentralized and uses various routers and firewalls.
- Remote Sensing Centre:The university is also looking forward to establishing a remote sensing centre on the campus in collaboration with ISRO.University has collaborated with Indian Space Research Organization to establish a remote sensing centre on the campus. With the launch of GIS and remote sensing, centre university has joined the elite league of institutions with the boast of facilities.
- Automated Weather Station: It is the latest of its kind in the state. It was established in 2010 as an initiative of ISRO. It is an agricultural friendly venture in addition to addressing the research and education needs.
- Publications:Lokajnana - It is a quarterly journal containing research papers in original and translated languages. International Journal of Science Research - IJSR is an international journal published quarterly reporting on a publication of research papers. International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities - It is a bi-annual journal published by the university. The main objective of journals is to share knowledge related to political science, history, sociology, archaeology, geography, international studies, etc.

- In our collage maintenance and facilities were too good.
- Faculties have been the most supportive one and they have always appreciated and supported and encouraged to everything in our collage

- They should take some note about the campus selection I mean like they do campus interviews by conducting interviews but later we never got on boarding letter this is the main this they have to look after.
Admission:
To get admitted to Bcom I didn't applied to any other collages or I didn't write any exam and the process to get admitted in our collage is simple but we should get admitted early as if we make it late to get admitted then the availability of seats will be less and it will be problem but before that if we want to get admitted on time then the process is like first we have to fill the collage application and then we have to submit the documents and then last step we have to pay the fees and we will be having two options to pay the fees that is 2 instalment method and one shot payment so this is the process to get admitted in our collage for any course.

I applied to sarvodaya college and I confirmed admission in Sri siddaganga college tumkur Karnataka no I can't reject in another colleges my mom want to join this college that why I joined this college the admission process of our college is take marksheet and photos adhaar and many more and give 30000 to admission first the exams all are good

- The college failed in organising educational trips and medium campus selection rate
Admission:
The eligibility criteria recites on their obtained marks. We apply through both online as well as offline also. The college conducts a Counciling and based on it they calculate agrigate cut off percentage and then they will give an admission to the eligible student. Done admission will be there for minorities also. But my only suggestion is that to avoid reservation quota in addmission process.

As I'm persuing Bachelor of Science, like we all know there's no necessary of any other exams than the PUC marks. I got 94.5% and I got the consession in my fees too in 1st year. Admission process is smooth no complexified at all

Admission is not difficult but you should complete your PUC with min 60 % .And You are only From Commerce stream, You directly come to our college and receive the application form and fee is 100 rupees and only limited time like 1 month . For reservation is 90 % plus candidates are quickly admissiond As usual per year 2 semisters are avail and 2 exams are conducted

- Our college is surrounded by lush green environment and there are benches to get redt

- The food in canteen is affordable like around 20-30 rupee and quantity, quality and hygiene is not good
- Washroom are know know built , before washroom are not there and washroom are not sanitized properly

The application we need to apply through UUCMS website where after application there will be documentation verification in college after that there will be three rounds of Counciling to select the combination as per our intrest it depends on availability of seats and the first come first preference with the Percentage wise .

- Our college is located near to Main road there is more access to all the mode of transportation like buses auto which are just 500 meter away from college and railway station is 1 to 1.5 kilometre from college.
- Our college building is almost 30-35 years old building which is strong and firm with lots of rooms to conduct class infrastructure is old style but it's firm.
Dislikes
- The things which is disliked the most is food which is not good in hostel as well as in canteen
- Canteen food is avarege where they don't have proper change in menu and unhygienic

Application to apply for Tumkur University will be find in UUCMS you can apply through this website and can get any desired courses and combinations and after the approval of application they call for documentary verification then they call Counciling to opt desired combinations and the Counciling is held 3 time. The Counciling is based on percentage and first come first preference. The Counciling news is announced in website and local news paper only. The Counciling method need to be improvement.

- The best lectures everyone are qualified with phd and experienced lectures. And there are some guest lectures who are meant for training us with subject as well as look after us with our studies and all. Every individual is mentored properly by them.
- Our college is located in near a main road which in center of city transportation facility is the best we can take government buses also auto. There is no complement regarding the buses near our college which lead us to travel easy to college.
Dislikes
- Everything is perfect there's nothing is dislike in our college. And tgete is only one cafeteria if it have three or four the rush might be controlled.
Admission:
For BSc the selection is based on percentage and also first come first preference with good percentage. And there is reservation for obc, sc and st and also for ncc students and for physical disabilities person.The application need to be done in UUCMS. For MSc need to get 55 percent in BSc and thers a reservation baed on caste and nss, ncc and and for physical disabilities person. The Counciling will be held to make option for course for three times.

Yes, Tumkur University offers the PhD courses. Tumkur University Ph.D. Admission is done through an entrance test followed by a personal interview. As per eligibility for doctoral courses, candidates should have a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks. The university also accepts the GATE / JRF / SLET score for Ph.D. admission. A candidate with M.Phil. degree from Tumkur University is also eligible for the Ph.D. program.
