Course Curriculum Overview

4

Bachelor's degree can be useful for many job opportunities in real world but there is lot to learn other than getting a job . Students need to experience real world challenges and problems , need to be problem solving minded but this college fails a quite to teach those skills instead they focus in teaching syllabus. But they also have a study tour every year which is useful for students . The exams are conducted at the end of every semester. Each semester is of 3-4 months. The paper is easy of you study well and it is difficult if you won't study anything .

Fees and Financial Aid

I have Paid Rs 14,774/- as college fees . I had to pay extras Rs 2800/- as exam fees The college was saying 250km from my home town so I stayed in the college hostel itself . The fees of college hostel was Rs 25000/- The hostel and college both didn't give any fee receipt but considered the screenshot of transaction I'd as proof of payment which was made online in phonepe

Campus Life

4

The college Conducts a fest every year with different name given for it (for us it was adhyaya 2k24).Despite this ethnic day is also celebrated very year . You may already be familiar with this there are several sports on those days like cricket ,kho kho , volleyball etc other than these on stage games are also conducted. Every one interested can participate in the sports . Cultural activities such as dance, singing, are also encouraged in these days. Other than these three is a gym in college which is free for every one. It is quite small gym by perfect for beginners. Library of this college is really good. It contains vast books . You can also access magazines and daily newspaper. It also offers to borrow a book of you are student of this college.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has hostel facilities . There is a college within 200 meters . Hostel fees is 25,00/- every year . The hostel is quite good and it's worth of money . They provide rice items for tiffin such as tomato rice , pulav, lemon rice, and there is idli onca a week. After noon is rice, sambhar and butter milk . At night they give chapati and rice with sambhar and curd. There is also tea for morning and evening. Food is really tasty . It is good to stay in hostel as it's really costly outside if you make your own room. The hostel is open for only sahyadri college students. You need to fill out a application form and fill a amount of 50/- . The hostel is good when compared to other hostels and P G 's. 4 students are accommodated for every room. *The provided information a year before . The fees and other thing may change it may not now.

Admission

I had to choose this college because I had this college as a last option when didn't get selected for neet ug . After getting into this college it has taught me lot of new things. There is lot more than academics. It's making friends . Yes I tried for other colleges also but the admission process was already over on all those colleges . No blame to any colleges because I was not in time . The admission process was quite easy for me as it was management seat. I had admission in just one day. If you want to apply for government dear then there is a long process. First you need to take your 12th marks card to the college and then apply for the course subjects you like . If there is vacancy then you get the seat. If not then you will be given another subject . Almost everyone gets the subject they have applied for but if you are the last one to apply then there may be some chance not getting this favourite subjects. There is no entrance exam for admission

Faculty

3

The faculty to students ratio for major subjects such as botany chemistry and maths is 1:10 . The students can reach out teachers at anytime for clarification of their doubts some of the teachers are really interactive with the students Bachelor degree in science is 3 year programme with 2 semester every year. Each sem, students need to write 2 internals for theory and 1 internal for practical. The theory exam is of 100 marks. 60 for writing 20 for 2 internals and another 20 marks for assignment and seminary presentation. The lab exam is of 50 marks 10 for lab internal and 15 for practical record submission. The exams are conducted really strict but only 25 % of students get failed every year (for 2 semester) .

Night Life

2

There are list of places nearby the college to hangout especially in weekends . They are BRP dam , sakrebylu, Tunga dam , taverekoppa etc . All these are not to near to college but you can go to one spot every Sunday . The College has canteen in there but the food can be rated 3 out of 5 . The college campus is quite big so you can play some sports and games after classes are over. As mentioned before this college also had gym and library . Gym doesn't consist all the equipment but it is good for beginners to practice here . The library is really good . Variety of books are placed in here. Other than books there are newspapers and daily magazine. There are lot of fast food shops outside the college campus. This is a place for hanging out some time after college. Night out is not allowed in this college.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.
