National College of Pharmacy is a private Institute which was established in 1996 by Dr. K. Moidu. The Institute has been affiliated by Calicut University, Calicut and has also been approved by PCI and AICTE.

This college offers B Pharma, M Pharma and Pharma D courses in different specializations. The admissions in undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses are done through merit only.

The application mode is online and the basic admission criteria to the Institute is Merit-Based.

The Training and Placement Cell provides 100% placement to students and already 75% of the students have already been placed in some reputed hospitals and pharmaceuticals. The top recruiters of the Institute are Apollo Hospital Enterprises Ltd, KMCT Medical College, AIMS etc.

Canteen - The food provided in the canteen is totally hygienic and all types of food is provided here. The germ-free environment on the canteen makes a place more comfortable for the students
Conference Hall - All the guest lectures and seminars are conducted in the conference hall. It consists of innovative teaching aids for example overhead projectors, slide projectors and LCD projectors
Library - the library consists of 10,000 books and over 100 National and international journals. The area of the library is spread over 8500 sq. ft.
College bus - daily pickup of the students is provided by the college from nearby places of Manassery
Hostel - the college provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hotel is safe for all the students. All the basic amenities are provided in the hostel like hygienic food, clean rooms and washroom.

B. Pharm has a theory as well as practical papers, as per the guidelines of KGUHS. As per the curriculum a student can choose between two electives in the final semester. There are three internal assessments in a semester and the best two of those three will be taken for evaluation.

My review on one of the finest colleges in Karnataka

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for B. Pharm consists of theory as well as practical parts. First-year is just brushing up the basics of chemistry, biology and other stuff and later on, there will be department specific subjects and lab sessions, in the final year, a student is given the liberty to choose between two electives. There are a total of three internal assessment before a semester, the best two of those three assessments will be taken into account.

Good Pharmacy college of Shimoga

Admission:

I completed my M.Pharm Pharmaceutics from NCP, Shimoga. The college had a good number of quality facilities for students from labs to classrooms which impressed me alot. The teachers and my classmates were also quite nice. Overall my experience here was quite good.
