Remarks

Overall our college is very good. Everything is fine except one thing that is discipline. Whether you call it positive or negative remark for me it is a negative one. And our guards just act like prime minister they think of themselves even higher than faculties. Though they behave humbly with us in from of teachers. But sometimes they just beahve like they are the authority and no one else is allowed to do anything without asking them. Overall the college is good. And it is easily accessible. It is near by metro station and two railway station. And it is on road.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This course is purely based on humanitarian values and literature of different region in English. You can have a immense knowledge of literature if you study deeply. This course can change our perspective completely and make us humane.

Placement Experience

4

It's matter of our choice. Our faculty members keep on sharing these kinds of opportunities with us time to time. And every semester a job and internship fair is held in the college campus. I had interned with 1947 Partition Archive as a content editor. I had got an internship as a contract faculty for English speaking classes in Noida also.

College Events

4.5

Several events takes place through out the year. Either there is some kind of talk or seminar or there is a cultural or departmental fest is going out through the year. We have several departments of science, commerce, and Arts. And each department conduct their annual fest, like we in English department conduct Annual literary fest Rhapsody and this time we conducted it on international level. And don't forget Aadab, the annual cultural fest of our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very much affordable by each and every section of society. There are various scholarship programs too for students. These scholarship programs are based on several things such as economic background of student, merit of student etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarship programs too for students. These scholarship programs are based on several things such as economic background of student, merit of student etc. One such scholarship is run by our faculty members. Then there are several such programs run by Delhi govt. And university itself.

Campus Life

4

Though I have been to science labs for other purposes than laboratory yet I know these are well furnished as much I know of. And I have heard the same from my friends from science wing. And sports is one of our plus point. Our football team is famous at India university level. Our college hosts its own football tournament named Zakir Husain Memorial Football tournament. There are 6 player from our college in the university team. And our volleyball team is also very famous over Delhi. Recently our volleyball team has won several tournaments all over Delhi. And our college has almost all sports facilities. It has NCC also.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Nope, I have not opted for hostel facility. As there is no hostel at present. But it is under construction and it is going to become functional by the end of this session. And I think it will be very much affordable as other hostels of University of Delhi.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they are very much helpful. Each and every department keeps a record for their alumni and their achievement, and if we needed any help in the desired field we can have help from our alumni. We are like family.

Faculty

5

The faculty are best, as prior to this college I had taken admission in top three colleges of University of Delhi in overhyped North Campus. But at the end of the day I found the best faculty here in an off campus college. Yet there are some so called orthodox school teacher but over all the faculty is best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college offers a good mix of theory and real-life application, making it a good choice for anyone genuinely curious about how the human mind works. It also balances academics with hands-on experiences—students don’t just read about psychology in theory, they actually get to practice it through labs, experiments, internships, and field visits. Regular workshops, seminars, and presentations keep the learning process interactive and help build communication and analytical skills that are useful both inside and outside the classroom. Recently a resilience workshop was held by an alumni of MSCW, where we got deeper insights about how resilience can be built, how coping works and how some coping techniques can be bad for u.

Placement Experience:

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.
