Course Curriculum Overview

Electrical and electronics engineering is the toughest branch in the engineering.time duration of one semester is very low and also the syllabus is very vast.that's too much complicated to students this is the main part

The placement rate of our college is top compared to other engineering colleges...the students who sits for placement get placed in top companies in india and abroad...also woth the knowledge gained from the course students can approach interview directly outside college

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure during the first year admission for merit seat is Rs 20000 per semester with onetime initial payment of Rs 5000 as caution deposit and Rs11500 as PTA funds.Also a amount of Rs 2325 is collected for exam fees and ktu registration.The fee structure for management seat is 35000 per semester with the same onetime initial payment for caution deposit,exam registration and PTA fees.

Campus Life

The main event of our college is our annual tech fest and is conducted every year with many technical events and workshop and also enjoyment programs..also there is annual sports and arts fest for upbringing talented students other than studies excellence

Admission

The college is under KTU University and is the admission process is straightforwarded based on keam ranks...the exams are conducted by ktu and ktu conducts examsem wise and there are two internal exams before each sem exam

Faculty

The number of permanent staff is lesser compared to number of student in the respective departments.The faculty is approachable when needed.There are 2 series examination per semester which are based on modules completed

Overall good college.

Placement Experience:

For other branches, the placement cell is quite good but for food technology, the placement is less. Although we have a few. Training is given for placement aptitudes.

Remarks:

The college infrastructure is very disappointing. The buildings are at the verge of collapsing. There is not enough space to breathe free. The bench and dusk are in shortage and are of bad quality

Remarks:

It is a really good college if academic is your only aim. It has a very good atmosphere for studying and really calm it is. But the other aspects are not really inspiring and viable. The college doesn't promote other activites.

Postive-The teaching is good and most of the teachers put their full effort. Negative-Poor infrastructure and no proper labs which make it very difficult for students.The college library is only for name sake and is very poor

Remarks:

Positive - very close to town, so it's easy to access. Near to railway junction too. So it's easy for the students to reach the home town. The other positive is that it is close to Kerala kalamandalam, poomala dam etc.

Our institute is entirely synchronized with internet and wifi.The quality of the classrooms is good. Everywhere we have internet facility.placements are great in the college almost there are no drawbacks to the college to say.the overall experience was awesome in the college.

Govt Model Engineering College provides better placemnents better internships espcially for CSE . Admission is throung the rank from KEAM exam. Model Engineering College, a College with good placements

I chose MEC over others as I found it to have relatively the best placements. I applied for CUSAT, GEC, TKM and MEC had the better placements. I had gotten into CET but didn't get a merit seat and didn't want to pay the additional fees, so I went back to MEC. The admission process is through the KEAM exam.
