.The curriculum give less knowledge for practical applications .More practical learning will improve the course curriculum and teaching methods Exams have only gap of 1 month between internal exams and 2week gap to semester exam so the exams are very difficult

From 5th semester students become eligible foe campus placements. Tcs, Kalkitech, wipro are the companies visited, Highest package -50LPA Average package 4LPA Percentage of students getting placement=40%-50%

Year wise I paid =44640 Tution fee is 20000 per sem for merit students Tution fee =35000 per sem for management students Exam fee per sem =2320/- SC/ST students have schlorship like Egrants so they can study without any fees Egrants, XSA are the available schlorship

Campus Life

Excel is the only technical fest in this college Library have limited books available Clubs are active in the college dont expect to much about this college Facilities are poor in the classrooms Projectors are not proper working

Admission

I don't apply any other colleges for admission. Keam exam accepted for btech admission for 1st yr admission. Through the lateral entry examination we can join through 2nd yr, In later al entry examination rank cutoff is 600 for merit seat and 2200 rank for management seat

Every semester their are 2 internal exams. The exams questions were done by the faculties, they are always difficult 30 students were also fail in that semester exam, Students per class is upto 70 Faculty in each department is 8-12

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
