Course Curriculum Overview

4

Due to my interest in Chemistry I choose this course. I choose this college because of it's brand value in research and innovation. Since IIT Delhi is well known for it's research and development department. I have excess to all the labs , as I can visit any lab with permission and can check what work is going into them. Also have access to sit in the conference of PhD students when they defend their thesis. There is no such recommendations because everything is good and most importantly here I understand the value of time.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Many Internships opportunities were provided by the College in prestigious organization like DRDO, IISc and in other IIT's also. Many foreign and domestic internship opportunities came in month of April- July known as Summer Internship Period and in Month of November - December ( winter internship) stipend is decent. Lab works and computational works are major in this internship drive. Out reach Department helps in getting touch with foreign companies and labs for internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

Average package of My Course that is MSc Chemistry is around 18 LPa and maximum is 24LPa which one of my super senior got. Overall placement is good . IIT Delhi has its own OCS placement cell which is there for you to help you in your CV building and in improving interview skills. For Sitting in placement drive one should cross a minimum of 7.5 Cgpa . Those who are in 4th semester are eligible to sit in placement drive

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For General Students (Day scholars) fees is 74000 Rs for 2 year MSc Program and for (Hostelers) fees is 330000. For SC/ST Students (Day Scholars) fees is 60000 Rs for 2 year MSc Program and for (Hostelers) it's is around 190000. Scholarships are provided for finally weaker students like MCM and other PG Scholarships. There is a slight increment in fees in every 2-3 years.

Campus Life

5

I have build a great network with the students of different courses. My hesitation while talking to strangers vanished completely. This is because of the Clubs and Societies which removes the barrier between students. 3 big playgrounds are here in campus for almost all sports including Cricket, Football, Athletics, Basketball, Long Jump, High Jump, Lawn tennis Swiming pool and courts for Badminton, Table Tennis , Smash etc with proper management facilities. Main Central Library is here for all necessary books and access to all journals of many known Societies for students. Many Clubs and Societies are here for students interaction.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel Facility is decent. Hostesl provides their own sports equipment like cricket bat, volleyball, basketball, badminton, tennis racquet for their students only. Mess menu changes every month. Mess menu includes Chinese, North Indian, South Indian , Sweet dishes etc for lunch and dinner. In whole day mess provides food for 4 times in total. Registration for hostels is very easy since you have to fill 5-6 forms and give the fees that's it.

Admission

Since I have secured A.I.R 74 I am eligible for all IIT's and IISC but I have choose this for my own sake. As IIT Delhi has a good Research and Development Department which I have been looking after my graduation. Faculty also support for research papers and projects offered by foreign as well as domestic institutes.

Faculty

5

Faculty members are friendly and supportive. If someone has doubt they can directly approach or may mail them for there time. One of my favourite Faculty member is Dr. ANIL J. ELIAS who is also a writer of many inorganic books topic- Organometallics, Coordination, Main Group etc. There are in total 4 times exams conducted in a semester like 2 surprise quizes and 1 minor and 1 major. Paper pattern is simple but yeah difficulty level of questions is somewhat on a higher side. Atmost 1-2 student got failed otherwise everyone manages to pass the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had choosen this course as I have a great interest in mathematics. And learning mathematics with Statistical approach is really helpful for me as it makes be better to understand the concept of real data. For now the curriculum is prepared for only for 1st year and further information is not known. For now their is not much improvement needed and their are 2 tutorials and classes each week in which the doubts of assignments and tests get clarified on tutorial classes. This course helps us to collect data from various topics and help people become more efficient.
