From starting only I had interest in finance and marketing thus choosing bcom hons would really help me in future for the same. The commerce department over here is really amazing, everyone here is kind and helpful

Im in my first year so I don't have much idea but after talking to my seniors various students gets placed in auditing field. And various companies come for internship in my college as well. The avg package for the same is 4 lpa.

Placement Experience

There's various companies that come into my college for placement. For my course almost 80% of the students gets placed. Average package is around 4 lakh. My plans after pursuing Bcom hons is to go for MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I paid is 17340. There's no other fees I paid. I gave cuet exam for the same and the registration fees for it was 1000. There's various people with different categories in my classroom.

Campus Life

Most of the rooms in my college has AC. Library is really huge , it's of 2 floors!! There's way too many clubs and commitites. Some of them in which I have joined is commerce society and marketing society.

Admission

I applied in every college of Delhi University. I have got confirmation from Lakshmibai college in first round but then in second round i got this college. This college is near to my house so I'm pretty much happy that I got this College. Cuet is the exam that i gave to get admission in this college. Cutoff in second round was around 680.

Faculty

Okay so faculty at my college is really nice! They are actually really helpful with us. There's no such faculty that i didn't liked till now. We have 3 subjects in our course in first semester. And they are of easy level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I chose this college based on infrastructure as there wasn't much information available about this college online. Alsoz on the du official website, this college is mentioned as North campus which was a confusion for me at that time as I thought it was true but it wasn't as this is an off campus college of Delhi University. The admissions in the whole of University of Delhi is based on CUET scores. The preferences need to be filled by the students and then he/she is allotted the college according to the cit off and the scores. The subjects that need to be taken in cuet should be the same as in 12th boards. For humanities/arts courses the scores are out of 800. So, for arts courses the normal cit off for general category students are around 650, for obc students around 500 and for sc/st is much lower....Read More

MAC is magnificent!!

Same as CUET as all the colleges listed under DU has the same process. Its not that 12th percentage are ignored they too are calculated but ultimately the winner is CUET. Definitely MAC was not the first choice as it was the Hindu College but never mind MAC was good too....Read More

My personal experience of MAC

Earlier I got admission in Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar college university of Delhi but Then I got this one in second round of admission. And I choose this one because of it's fee structure that is less compared to others. And for the admission you have to appear in common university entrance test (CUET) conducted by NTA then you have to apply for the admission through Delhi University's counselling process which is common seat allocation system CSAS then according to your score and college preference you'll get your admission....Read More
