Course Curriculum Overview

4

B com (Bachelors of Commerce) is a course generally done by those who want to make a career in Accountancy or by those who wish to give CA exams or prepare for MBA. I am preparing for MBA and thus chose this course. The curriculum under NEP has made the course more vast and has included new aspects of studies in Bcom. The exams are conducted under the Nep mode and are of moderate difficulty. The Nep can focus more on the core subjects to improve specialisation.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The Placement Cell of the college works tirelessly to provide students of all the semesters with internships in various fields. Zomato,FirstCry,XLearn,Sharekhan, etc are some of the prominent internship providers. The average stipend varies from 5000 to 15000. The roles include sales intern, Research Intern, College Ambassador, etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students of the semester 5 and 6 are eligible for the placements. Companies like Ey, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, etc are the major recruiters. The highest package is around 12 LPA meanwhile the average package is around 5 LPA. Around 50% of students only sit in the placements and 70% among them secure placements. 50% like me do not sit in placements are they are preparing for competitive examinations.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College is around ?17000 per annum. For the EWS and other categories, Certain concessions and financial aids have been provided. The fees includes tution fees, maintenance fees, laboratory fees, cultural program fees etc and is all inclusive. Only examination fees of ?2000(varies with the number of papers and practicals) is to paid every semester seperately. There is also a variation in the fees on the basis of practicality of the subjects. Physics students have a higher fee structure than BA students due to lab equipments fees required for physics lab.

Campus Life

4

The Annual Fest is called 'Tide' is generally hosted in June. Diwali Mela is also celebrated in college with great Zest. The books and journals are available in Libra in abundance but the quality of those are questionable. The technological provisions in the classrooms are outdated and in need of an upgrade. The sports and extracurricular activities are promoted and college teams are available to take part in. There are a large number of societies like NSS,NCC , Students for Seva, Finance and Investment Cell, etc

Admission

I applied for Nmims Mumbai, Symbiosis Pune as well as Amity Noida and got addmission in all of them but chose Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College due to following reasons - 1) It is less heavy on the pocket in comparison to the other colleges. 2) It is a part of the prestigious Delhi University and has a more experienced faculty. 3) Delhi as city provides more opportunities than any other city. The admission process is very simple. The addmission is fone through CSAS portal after the scores of CUET are released. One has to accept the seat and make the fees payment online. The cutoff for general category is around 710 and for SC and ST is 400 for my course. The admission process is simple and can be done in very less time.

Faculty

4.5

The Faculty to Student Ratio is generally 1:50 in most cases. The faculty is one of the best in all of the Delhi University. The faculty has played a very big role in getting the College a NAAC A++ rating and NIRF rank 5. In B Com, The Faculty are very helpful and approachable. Manika Mam,Sonam Mam,Ruchika Mam,Dilip Sir and Neetu Mam are some of the Best teachers. There are hardly any teachers which are unlikable. There are 6 exams, one for each semester. Each exam is of three hours and 90 marks. Almost 95% students pass all the exams, with 5% getting a back.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable
