Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is quite diverse as in the first year of the course we will be going through different subjects which would cover the basics of engineering. From the second year onwards we will be more focused on the core subjects which are related to our branch. As I have not yet gone through the entire curriculum I won't be able to comment on how it prepares us for real-world applications. The frequency of exam must be changed a little bit because within a month from the commencement of our classes we had our midsem exams which is quite challenging.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The students start getting internship opportunities from the second year . The students are provided with works like technical production, technical assistance to staff and customers on software and hardware related issues. The stipend varies a lot depending on various factors, it may vary from ?10000 to 30000 depending on the workload and the efficiency of the intern.

Placement Experience

2.5

The students who are in their final year of btech are eligible for campus placements. In 2024, over 200 companies visited the institute for providing placements to students which is quite a good number. A few of them were google, adobe, microsoft, amazon, goldman sachs, samsung, jio, nvidia and many more.Around 600 offers were made by the companies this year. The highest package of this year was 52 lpa and the average package was around 13 lpa.The percentage of students placed were around 80 percent. My plan after getting the degree would be to secure a placement in a reputed company with a standard package.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I have got admission in the institute around a month ago.I had to pay ?17500(seat acceptance fee),?20000(partial admission fee) and ?22500(hostel fees) as per my category. The yearly fees would be approximately ?70000.As far as my friends from the general category are concerned, they will have to pay almost ?130,000 yearly. Nowadays there are various scholarships for students from the government organizations such as the various schemes available in nsp. As well as the private foundations like reliance foundation etc.

Campus Life

4

The name of the annual cultural fest is Incandescence and it is held usually in the month of February. The technical fest which is the technoesis, it is held usually in the month of October. The library provides a wide range of books and journals and a very peaceful environment to enjoy the world of reading. The new gallery classrooms have projectors which make the class quite interactive. The sports and extracurricular activities offered are top notch in the campus. There is a social group named Gyansagar which is basically a ngo type of organization which organises classes, food distribution programmes etc for the education and proper growth of the children of nearby village .

Hostel Facilities

3

The institute provides single seater, double seater and triple seater for the first year students. In the room we are provided with a iron bed, almirah, chair, table and a lan port. There are common washrooms on each and every floor. The quality of mess food is not that satisfactory but it is ok for survival. The registration process for Hostel is quite simple, we just need to fill a form and submit it to the hostel warden.

Admission

I chosed this college over the other colleges as the branch which I was aiming for I could get it in this institute and the various factors such as the campus life, placement and other skill developing opportunities I would get here. The admission process of our college is based on the jee mains score and the josaa counseling. After the document verification and online reporting in the josaa website, we are notified to visit the institute for physical verification and at the same day we can move to our hostel and start our new journey.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:80 which is considerable as there are two sections for each branch. The faculty student relationship is based on the faculty,if the faculty is friendly then students will find it quite easy to approach them. The faculties which I liked are: Professor of Chemistry,Dr. B.N Ghosh sir who is very friendly and we have a very chilled environment during the class and our professor of Basic Electronics,Dr GS Bhagel is also quite good. I didn't like the professor of Mathematics as we didn't connect that much with sir. Till now ,I just appeared for the midsem exams which were on the moderate side of difficulty level. I found the basic electronics question paper quite challenging as well as the introduction to programming one.

Other Applied Colleges

As I could not score enough in the jee mains to get the rank for opting this college

While my college does not offer campus placements, it emphasizes enhancing employability through various initiatives and resources. The career services department organizes workshops, seminars, and networking events to prepare students for the job market. They offer guidance on resume writing, interview skills, and professional development, empowering students to showcase their strengths effectively to potential employers. Additionally, the college fosters industry connections through guest lectures, internships, and collaborative projects, exposing students to real-world scenarios and enhancing their practical skills. These opportunities not only enrich academic learning but also increase employability by providing valuable hands-on experience. Furthermore, the college encourages students to explore entrepreneurship and self-employment avenues through incubation centers and startup support programs. They provide mentorship, funding assistance, and access to resources to nurture entr
