What Students Say

Likes

things that i like the most is the college environment is very peaceful and calm. It's suitable for students.
The professors and faculties are very friendly.
There is no ragging system. Seniors are very friendly and humble.

Dislikes

I mostly dislike the fact that our mechanical workshop is not very well in condition.
There is no lab assistant so the machines in lab are not properly maintained.
The tools and machines are not usable for student.

there are many opportunities for hand on practice ,projects or real world applications of the concept taught.The curriculum cover all the essential topics and skills required for the subject. The textbooks and other study materials from library are up to date.

Campus Life

Here every year a Techfest is held in our college campus where many students and students from other colleges also can participate. there are many gaming activity hackathons and many other tech related robotics related events took place in our college campus.

Admission

Comparing acedamic strenghts of thus college with others.The quality and availibility of faculities such as librarians, labs, sport complexes and student housing is very good. The atmoshphere and the environment of the college campus is more nice than the other colleges.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very good. The relationship between students and faculty is very friendly and nice. The faculty provide the student very useful scholarship details to help them which I like the most and there is nothing about to dislike them.I am very satisfied.

Good Faculty but Average Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was relevant for beginners and covered important computer subjects like programming basics, DBMS, networking, and computer fundamentals. It helped in understanding the foundation of IT and software. However, the curriculum needs more practical sessions, coding practice, live projects and industry level skills. Exams were conducted semester wise with internal assessment, and the difficulty level was moderate. Overall the curriculum is good for basics, but it should be updated with more modern topics and practical learning.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. All our professors were very helpful and kind to everyone. They were always one step forward in helping us in every way possible. They were friendly and very knowledgeable. Our course curriculum had data analysis and econometrics, which every company looks for. The topics taught were relevant. Semester exams were not very easy, but our professors prepared us in every way. The pass percentage was approximately 85%. Students were among the top-ranked in the city.

At first, I complete my 12th exam in science. Then I attended the WBJEE exam. After I good score on the WBJEE exam then I go to the counseling process. My college had 3 streams CSE, IT, and Leather Technology. I prefer to join Leather Technology. My college Application fees are 5000. My college's applications date provide College portal website.
