Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculum 4/5 because it provides adequate amount of opportunities for students in terms of relevance. I would rather suggest students who are currently searching for colleges for their further studies. Students have to crack WBJEE examination in order to take admission in this college. No direct admissions are entertained in our college.
Placement Experience
The college offers great placement opportunities with average package of 5.5LPA for students pursing CSE or IT. And 7.5LPA for students pursuing LT. The college has a highest package of 11LPA. It also offers great opportunities for internship to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology, affiliated by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology is situated in LB Block-11 Salt lake Sector-3 Kolkata 700105. The college provide great facilties for students like we have a well maintained computer lab for students. We also have many clubs in our college such as robotics clubs etc. It also provide great opportunities for job interships foe students currently opting courses. It also has a big playground for students who wants to play and show their skills in the sports sector. We also have a boys hostel which is well maintained for the students where many events takes place for the students living there. We also jave Wifi facilty in the hostel. The faculty at the college is great and helps us in studying and apart from studies they also helps us in each and every aspects of the students life. We also have a big library with more than 10000 books where students can enhance their skills and study peacefully.
Campus Life
My overall experience with my college is great in every aspect. Especially the clubs and events which takes place in our college. The college organises a great Cultural Fest every year which is open to all and has a great crowd present every in our college.
Hostel Facilities
The college also provides great hostel facilities and I personally live in hostel. The hostel has full WiFi facilty within its premises. It has a great mess facilty for students providing 3 times meal a day with proper hygienic food for the students living within the hostel. The hostels itself helds many events such HosTech for students and many more.
Admission
I chose this college because of its location, faculty, placement opportunities, internship for students and many more. Our college is situated in salt lake which is also a great place where many companies have their headquarter situated within kolkata. These are some reasons which made me chose this college over any other college with my rank.
Faculty
The faculty is great with more than 50 teachers whi helps us in every aspects of our life apart from studies. The faculty also promotes students who wants to study abroad and students eho wants to give competitive examinations such as GATE etc. The faculty is very kind and supportive for the students where everyone can talk with them without any hesitation. The faculty is always ready for the students whether it would be in studies or any other part of life. The college provides courses such as BTECH in Computer Science and Engineering, Infromation Technology, Leather Technology. It also provides Master degree for the students in Leather Technology. The college is affiliated by MAKAUT and follows the exam systems and marking schemes under MAKAUT board.
