Remarks

The administration is pretty fine and management is cooperative with the students, understands concerns and help resolve the problems.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As it is, DU's syllabus is believed to be comprehensive enough, thus notches the foremost priority by students and is university worldly acknowledged. I firmly believe that the course curriculum is extensive enough to get you a good knowledge and insight in all spheres pertaining to this course. The course is divided into 6 semesters wherein a thorough understanding is inculcated which is competent enough to aid students to crack entrance exams for the post graduation as well. However, I believe, that the college is still to improve on teaching the practical aspects of media life and more access to the media labs.

Placement Experience

3.5

To be honest, there are no placements by the college placement cell for this department. However, the professors, via our DCAC's strong alumni network and reference, help you achieve fair opportunities for internships and placements as and when needed.

College Events

4

Besides a plethora of events and societies/departmental fests, the college organizes its official college fest 'Ambrosia' which is usually cherished much by the students (The funds are allocated for each event by the college). The journalism department organizes its fest 'Scoop' wherein debates and discussions take place by eminent personalities and renowned journalists. The day is also accompanied by the launch of 'The Critique', the annual student publication of the department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee is nominal and pocket-friendly in the pocket. The fee is nearly Rs. 18,000 per year. Besides this, one has to submit the exam fee which is to be submitted as and when the semester exams are approaching (nearly Rs. 1,000 for each semester.)

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not opted for any scholarship or education loan. The fees are reasonable enough in comparison to other colleges offering the same course.

Campus Life

2.5

Being the second-ranked co-ed college in South Campus, the college has a good crowd to jell-in. The recreational hub(food joints) such as the Mini market are in close vicinity to the college. 'Satya Niketan'- the perfect hangout cafe point for the college buddies is also near to the college. Commuting to the college is easy via the metro. One can board an auto from Bhikaji Cama(Pink line) or INA(Yellow line) and reach the college in not more than 10 minutes.

Alumni/Alumna

As said, the college alumni network is in close liaison with professors and help students attain internships /jobs whenever required.

Admission

One has to meet the college soaring cutoffs starting from 98%. Fortunately, I met the required percentage and was admitted to this unique course of DCAC. Being a Delhi University College, admission to the college is in accordance with DU cutoffs and guidelines. So, one has to follow up on the DU website to be in line with the admission dates and process.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is highly competent with decent teaching experience. The professors groom students professionally and motivate them to hunt for opportunities around. I would say, if DCAC experiences an edge over others, the credit of this would go to the faculty itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in theoretical subjects. Even in my school time, I liked theory subjects more than practical or numerical subjects. This is one of the reason I chose this specific course. Another reason is that I like reading non fictional novels. At the age of 15, I started reading novels but after diving into this course I'm liking the fictional novels too. I don't think this course needs to improve anything. It is in it's best form at the point.

Placement Experience:

I think students become eligible for campus placements in 5th semester as now they are mature enough to be given such responsibility and to secure their future. I am not aware about the number of companies and offers. I am also not aware about the highest or lowest package offered but the average package for my college is ?6.5 lakhs per annum. The cgpa should be above 7.5 for better chances of getting placements. My plan is to get a good college placement in starting of the 5th semester.

I find thr course curriculum quite relevant. Geography is a very dynamic and practical subject and our course is designed that way to provide students a comprehensive knowledge of the course. We usually have two theory and one practical subject related to the course providing all the necessary learning and also preparing us for further research work.

I knew a senior already and asked her about the college she said teaching staff is good for which I can totally agree..there are a lot of assignments and stuff but at last it's helpful helps to gain exposure, knowledge and experience If you participate in all the activities which happend then it will be really good and helpful But the syllabus is very vast and with activities and assignment it gets stressful For the first year first sem it was very hectic as the exams were in really few gap but it was fine in second sem It is advised to try to study side by side atleast a little bit
