Likes

Faculty and teachers of this college are good and being supportive
Campus area is fantastic and sports facilities are excellent
There is no extra fees for sports facilities and medical supplies and treatment are free

Dislikes

Cleaning though hostel rooms and clusters are nice and cozy there is a problem of regular cleaning
No induction and other electronics are allowed and provider by college
Class size as they are inc. the student intake

Though the college was built in 1956 and many branches are still functioning from that period then also the course is uptes and timely managed New side courses alterations are taken into consideration

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities start in 2nd year but you need to maintain a cgpa above 9 for getting good internship also the college helps you to crack internships by providing tutorials and mock test to improve skill

Placement Experience

The average package for coe branch is around 14 lpa And many tech giants visit the campus for placement like Microsoft Google Adobe delloid JP Morgan Internship opportunities are quite nice as well but you will need to maintain a good cgpa for this

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 327000 rupees as tution fees and 73000 as hostel + message fees I have admitted in coe branch so fees is somewhat high. My friend is in enc and he has paid around 300000 fees and same hostel fees.

Campus Life

There are over 50 societies to join from which covers all aspects for student development and help students discover and develop their technical and non technical qualityies Also talent development and socialization

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility are quite nice . Each hostel has dedicated play areas to spend time . And laundry system which is all free . Also the message food is quite nice . Wardens and caretakers are friendly Overall you will enjoy hostel life

Admission

I was getting seats in cse vit vellore chennai and Andhra Pradesh also mechanical and electrical at nsit and dtu both But I chose thapar because it provide a great college life campus is big and green Also the placements are nice

So currently there is 1 month of teaching before the mst i.e mid semester test for 1st semester and then paper will be conducted Courses are developed in order to maintain new tech cap and new skills and side courses are added

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
