There wad quite good relevancy what was being taught by professor , not just for exams only but for real life as well. There should be internships and placements that need to work upon. But I could say overall it was good

Internships Opportunities

There was abhyas the internship cell society in college which provided different internships in number of skill sets. I joined internship in content writing because I had a keen interest in writing so It was profound opportunity for me.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year : 18000 2nd year :17600 3rd year :20000 It was quite affordable course for backward class and it was best college in DU I had to pay 1200 per semester for examination fees before exams and was getting scholarships well

Campus Life

Campus life was best because we can improve our skills by joining different cultural societies and we can live freely in campus as well because there was no pressure or ragging or anything that could stop us or pressurise us

Admission

I chose this college because it was best in terms of rankings of DU and all I applied in hansraj college and Kirori Mal college as well but I was not getting admission because I was quite late and seat was full

Faculty

The faculty around the students was totally good. Attendance criteria was mandatory in order to sit in exam. The faculty was totally approachable. Exam was in 6 semesters ... In 1st year there were 6 exams 2nd year : 5 exams 3rd year : 4 exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

DESHBANDHU COLLEGE BEST CHAPTER OF MY LIFE SO FAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Students become Eligible for campus placements after in the 3rd year. The placements have been improved a lot in the past years. Companies like Pwc, kpmg, McKinsey, bain and Co come for campus placements. The highest package was 23 lakhs per annum last year.

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University. Studying in the Hindu College is a novelty!!

Hailing from Rajasthan and coming to Delhi, i don't think a better bet than Hindus college ever exists.
