Likes

I like my teachers very much. They are very supportive
I like the college campus alot. It's very clean compared to other Old Delhi areas.
The Old Canteen is also very affordable and value for money. I can get a veg thali for 50 rs

Dislikes

I don't like the library timings. The library isnt open on Saturdays and Sundays
I don't like the routine. It's very hectic. Can't take out time for my self.
I don't like the Stationery shop. The guys working there don't know what they are doing.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like Philosophy alot. The curriculum has improved my decision making. Should incorporate Shikh Philosophy and Philosophies of North Eastern Religions. The frequencies and timings are not that bad they are curated to match student needs

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 27000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Major Companies include Google, Deloitte, Raymond and other Indian Brands like Godrej. I don't know much about the internship thing since I am new but yeah if you perform well you can secure good internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee for the entire 1st year course is 27000 for my BA Philosophy Hons. As far as I know the College conducts a test for a scholarship called Raj Bhargav Scholarship which is only available to Humanities students. It reduces the fee by 50% if someone secures it. Yes the course fee has increased in the last few years.

Campus Life

The overall campus experience is very good. A lot of senior people with wisdom come for seminars on a regular basis. There is always something happening in the college. The societies are also very good. The library is very great. There are 4 floors and all of them are very well equipped with books. The college also supports sports and other activities significantly.

Admission

I chose this college for its NIRF ranking and Alumni I applied for AU, DHSGSU, BRAU, and I was accepted in all of them The admission process is that you need to crack CUET UG. Fill out the CSAS portal. Fill Preferences properly and you are all set.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 3:54 I can't reveal the names of the faculties I am sorry. But I like them because they are genuinely good human beings. I don't like certain faculties because they are too orthodox and very strict. There are 2 tests, IA test and CA test. They are easy if you study good. The course curriculum is relevant enough.

Night Life

Kamla Nagar and Vijay Nagar are the best areas around my college for students to live. The girls hostel is running but the Boys hostel is still under construction. The famous hangout spots in college are Canteens and Playground. Outside college it's Sudama Tea Stall and other Stalls. The locality is very safe and many PCRs keep patrolling.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Okay, so basically I read this highly course curriculum is best in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness students are also interested in all subject specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course or it has good education system. Teachers are highly qualified and preparing system is also very good. They teach every good aspect of the subject and try to understand us. There is less improvement areas but one improvement it needs is the presence of insurance are a bit less presence at the time of exam so they have to check it. The frequency and time of exams are a little bit fast but it is minimal and it keeps 3 hours away exam which is very good

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the third semester. Some of the reputed companies that visit our campus are Disha, KPMG, grand Thornton, et cetera. I think the highest package was 24 lakhs per annum and the average package is nine lakh Since a lot of students from our college do not typically go for placements. The percentage of students getting placement is relatively low and my plans after the degree are to find a job and pursue my masters after it.

Is IPCW,DU worth it?

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is active. Internship opportunities are floated regularly. The highest package was 24.3 LPA, and the average package was 6.27 LPA for the session 2024-25. The job profiles offered are in finance, sales and marketing, audit, tech, etc. The highest number of opportunities offered is to the students of B.Com (H), Economics Hons. and B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Ramjas are great but Commerce department and Arts Economics department are the ones which gets the best placements and we have to look for the leftovers. Still more than half studentas pursuing BA were placed from campus last season.

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University. Studying in the Hindu College is a novelty!!
