Course Curriculum Overview

The college follows trimester for every year and there is operations, finance , marketing , human resource, Information technology faculties. There will be mid term and term exams in every trimester...

Class Size: 328Course Fees: INR 1680000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There were around two hundred companies that came for for offering internship in differnt domains like marketing, human resource , finance, IT and the median stipend offered for the batch was in the range of 50,000

Placement Experience

The median salary offered for the 2021-2023 batch was 1around eighteen lakhs per annum. I plan to enter the corporate world and join my main specialisation which is marketing team abd hence move further in my career

Fees and Financial Aid

The Year wise fees paid was Rs 840000 and the total fess was Rs 16,80,000. I joined PGP 22-24 batch and the strength was 328. There is scholarship for the foreign exchange from the off campus. Further expenses can be expected if a student wants to go for student exchange program.

Campus Life

The campus infrastucture is pretty amazing and they provide all kind of sports and they also have a sports complex which includes badminton court, squash court, gymnasium and table tennis and swimming pool

Hostel Facilities

There are six hostels in the campus which provides hostel facilities for both male and females. The hostels has radiant cooling technology which provides cooling even during the hot weather of IIM Raipur

Hostel Fee: INR 1680000 per year

Admission

I liked the location ans compared to the other new IIMs and Raipur had a better ranking as compared tothe other new IIMs. Also the placement that the college was offering wss pretty amazing as compared to other colleges

Faculty

I gave the common aptitude test 2021 for getting into the MBA program and the I got admisssion into the college after second round of updation of waiting list. After that I got IIM Raipur and the faculties are amazing

Interview Experience

Yes I had online interview in the month of march and I got my result in the month of May after which I got admission in IIM Raipur. I prepared for these interviews by reading current affairs monthly magazines

SIMER: A first batch student's Journey and how it became a Launchpad for my career

Placement Experience:

We were appearing for the placement process from the 4th Semester, however, our batch was being prepared for the placement process from day 1. The first placement process that I appeared for was for Shriram Transport Finance in feb 2008. A few common recruiters who came for our batch were HDFC Bank, Shriram Transport Finance, CIPLA, Naukri.com, Indiabulls Vandana Ispat etc. One of the offers that I had from HDFC bank and the CTC offered b HDFC bank was 300000. Our complete batch was having a offer , some of us had 1 offer and some of us had many , I had offer from India Bulls, Shriram transport Finance and HDFC Bank I joined HDFC bank after getting my degree.

SIMER- a journey to remember

Placement Experience:

In first year for internship program college only provide us opportunities. I got selected in three different companies for summer internship program which was paid. Then for final placement we experienced best support from placement cell. There was 25 companies for 60 students. I got selected for 5 different companies. I joined the best one.

Remarks:

Everybody planning of doing PGDM in chattisgarh should definitely visit campus & should interact with the faculties & know about the process. In the package of approximately 2 lakhs it is the best institute providing PGDM with personality Development & everything

Eligibility of course is depend on your CAT percentile and your past experience and academics. You can find application form in IIM website and application fees is 1200 and date would be in August to October. Reservation is based on caste and physical condition. IIM Raipur in nutshell

Admission through CAT MBA Entrance Exam followed by GDPI. There are different cut-off lists declared on the basis of category reservation. For example, the highest cut off like in my case will always be for general engineer males followed by general engineer females and so on.
