Remarks
So, Raipur was head in terms of low fees, low educational fees, facilities wise a permanent campus. It had a good ratio of students is to faculty and even I had a few reviews so I had a few alumnis from my undergraduate college who were in Raipur and I spoke to them so they gave pretty good feedback about the college or his college and then I also had spoken to other people from other colleges from my undergraduate institutes. So I did a comparison and I meet a matric comparison, so I came to the decision and went into the Raipur.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculumSo I initially followed the standard course curriculum so it is a 2-year course and broken into semesters like there are 3 semesters or sessions in each year and the first-year common for all the students so there is no specialization or distinct subject for a student, same for all. From 2nd year you get through electives and you can choose and there's marketing, there's operation, HR strategies and the finance. So you can choose the subjects and decide. It had a good ratio of students is to faculty.
Placement Experience
So I'll first talk about final placement so basically both the final placement and occasion placement are at the same time. So timeline I would say in September also and last year as per the report the average package was pretty high and it was 15.2 lakhs per annum. It's rising and it's a huge jump from before and the highest package was a pretty decent 32 lakhs per annum (domestic package). We have heard or what I have heard is that talking perceptive last year and recruitment sheets I have heard but that it has like huge brands that come in like EY, cognizant, and Asian paints and all the heavy companies allowing regular recruitment. so it is missive to hear and come to in any IIM. So I chose Raipur and decide that it's 100% placement every year and it's a sober pretty quick and that's a lot of big things come and go every year and that's a big thing to hear for a college at that time.
Fee Structure And Facilities
FEE Structure IIM Raipur also when I joined IIM Raipur it has the lowest fees structure among all the IIMs so its 15 lakhs close to 14 or 14.9 lakhs something around at figure for 2 years and it varies in the semesters and there is an additional cost of mess cost that is all there and fees structure-wise additional cost would be probably internationally exchanged which would be in 2 years, otherwise that?Ûªs a basic structure for the course.ScholarshipsNo, Institute does not provide, there would be other bodies that might be, but the institute does not provide.
Campus Life
Campus and social lifeSo I have not gone yet to the campus but I will be going but I have also done a lot of research on campus and facilities. So I can talk in only terms of that what I read. So Raipur located a little bit away and near the airport. So campus wise it has all the facilities which you would find in or expect in IIM and it's not a very old campus. So it's a pretty new campus in some of the parts and still be expanded. The basic layout is complete and it is pretty beautiful found in pictures. So I am excited to go there and will be soon. Committees So as you would know so in IIM it was not about only academics and everything. It also has extra curriculum activities, co curlier works, and one thing which plays role in is the clubs and committees in IIMs or any B schools. So in Raipur, we have 13 committees and 7 clubs and plays different roles individually and it's all the events run by the student's body of committees.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel So the hostel facility that I had researched that it's separate for girls and boys and the best part is each of the rooms is not shared and it has an attached washroom in each of the amazing rooms. In Raipur might be located at night get a little bit hot and we have a system of radiant cooling for managing the temperature and the inventor get a little chilly but it is okay that's what happens. Otherwise, it such a good place like a good location.
Admission
Yes, So I had my CAT interview too early February I remembered so the interview process was of two steps one was a written aptitude test so I think so we had a topic around entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship versus the role of entrepreneurship, how entrepreneurs have built up in business schools, and that was a written test and based on that written paragraph or written topic we had questions asked in an interview which were conduct in next. So the usual interview for me went around 15 minutes. I had questions asked from my specialization of undergraduates, some computer things there was code which was asked me to be written and I wrote it down then they asked me to optimize it and in postgraduate they asked me about to my work experience what I did and then what I extra did which I work in my place. I explained to them that there was one committee in which I'm in sports committee in which I organize events and everything I explained to them. They went on to ask me about how I used to manage things out there, how I used to organize that in details and everything and then relaxing sort of professional and more of conversations. We all were chatting and laughing and that an interview. They asked me to leave and I think this was the only round and it went well I guess. I applied to the institute for the CAT course. I gave Cat exam and I scored 96.5 percentile. And once I was done I had my CAT Interview that was around February and through the usual rounds of shortlisting and through the interview how my interview went. I got a call from IIM Raipur that was in Chhattisgarh and along with I had other IIMs and I went to IIM Raipur to compare other IIMs.
