Course Curriculum Overview

electrical engineering is a core branch and requires understanding circuits and diodes its easy plus the faculty makes it more easy by helping us with everything, course related doubts. curriculam makes it easy for us for further academic pursuits.

Internships Opportunities

first years i havent seen internships but these things come when we get into 2nd or 3rd year so i will share then but from what i have heard from the seniors is that internship opportunities are good at thapar.

Placement Experience

placement is good plus we have a placement cell which takes care of all the internships and job opportunities coming for us and they will keep a check whther you are good in your resume and will focus on overall profile building.

Fees and Financial Aid

scholarships are available on the basis of merit, if you have scored more than 90 in pcm boards then there are scholarships plus there are some other scholarships available based on family income and boards score

Campus Life

campus life is great since the campus is huge it offers a large variety of scenic beauties with such a good infrastructure which makes you feel that you are near your home. so overall campus life is great

Hostel Facilities

hostel facility is good leaving the first year hostels aside becuse thet are the basic once but you get good hostel rooms once you go in 2nd or 3rd year they are good plus every mess has great food which you get everyday

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

i got admission through jee mains. Thapar had its own registration form other than the jee counselling so based on merit and cutoff marks i got admission in the electrical branch. eligibility is 70%+ in pcm aggregate to apply

Faculty

the qualifications of the teacher are very good all are iitians and they have done projects and filed patents for their research and projects. talking to them wont feel like you are talking to such an experienced teacher

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More
