Likes

The college infrastructure is exceptionally well. The sports campus, lawn, amphitheatre, and auditorium are so beautiful. Airy and ventilated classrooms are also there.
The college societies and clubs also help in student development.
The faculty members are very helpful and experienced. They teaching skills is mix of lectures, real life examples, and case studies as well. They focus more on practical learning rather than theoretical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am currently studying Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and that's my choice of studying, being a commerce student. The curriculum is properly elaborated, providing each and every detail. The exams took place in December- January and May- June i.e., twice a year.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 26000 per year

Placement Experience

There is a placement cell in the college. The final year students are eligible for the placement opportunities. 90-95 % of the students got placed in various top companies like Deloitte, BCG, Accenture, Bain and Company, ZS etc. Average package is 9.6 to 10 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The average fee of Hindu College is 20000 - 26000 rupees which is I guess normal for a college like Hindu. The facilities are also amazing here. Financial aid is also provided to the necessary students. The students who have low family incomes are provided scholarships.

Campus Life

The annual fest Mecca took place every year, with great enthusiasm. The campus life is very good. Various facilities are also provided to the students. Even sports campus is also there which provides various sports. College societies play an important role in skills development as well.

Admission

The Admission is only through the CUET examination. The cut-off goes high, you must have scored 750+ for the general category. Though the cut-off varies for different reserved categories. The admission process is very good.

Faculty

For commerce, there are 2 sections, having approximately 60 students in each section. The professors are very talented, some have experience of more than 20- 25 years in this field. They focus on practical learning and connect them with the real life examples which make the learning much more easier and interesting. The best quality about the faculty members is that they are always available whenever any student needs their help.

A quick view on Dyal Singh College Morning, DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

I would say genuine

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

I chose the bcom course because of its well structured curriculum that covers fundamental aspects of commerce, including accounting, finance, taxation and business law. Exams are conducted in every 3 months of semester. Exams paper are moderate to hard not so easy.

Take admission if you wanna graduate just to get a degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University.
