Course Curriculum Overview

Initially i was underconfident about my course as it is very static but now i feel proud to study this as it helps my practical life as well. It really helps us in real life situations, one can excel in this subject.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 25500 per year

Placement Experience

Disha- is the placement cell of our college which aims to provide placement to students after the completion of degree. I would like to pursue UPSC, after being graduated in philosophy degree. Internship cell is also available in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees for philosophy honours in the year 2023 was Rs.25,500. All the charges are included in it. Scholarship named as Rajeev Bhargava is provided to students after they are being enrolled in the Hindu College.

Campus Life

Mecca is one of the biggest annual fest conducted in our college. It is a 2-3 day event and includes several artists. Suruchi- diwali mela is also conducted every year and outsiders are also allowed in it.

Admission

I chose this college above others as it is ranked number one according to NIRF ranking. Further, i heard about it from mu seniors who were alumni of this college. I got this college in the first go itself, so i didn't face any rejection. CUET is the admission criteria.

Faculty

There are around 70 students in my class and every core subject has one teacher. There are end semester exams which are conducted at the delhi university level. Faculties are very good and make the philosophy subject easy for us.

Night Life

Night life of north campus is something one should always experience. It will always remain a lifetime memort for me. Kamla Nagar, Hudson Lane and Majnu ka Tilla are the three main famous spots for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is something that can have improvements. For example I am studying C++ in my computer minor class which is becoming less and less relavent as compared to a lamguage like python. Alot of job prospects require students to know a language like R so I feel things like that should be taught so that the course cam make a student more real world ready.

DESHBANDHU COLLEGE BEST CHAPTER OF MY LIFE SO FAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course requires a lot of analytical and logical thinking. The scope is quite wide in my course without having any professional degree too like research, analytics, finance manager etc. This course gives opportunity to gain applied skills and as we are dealing with quantitaive aspects our statistics also gets better with time. Few improvements which i would like suggest are that their should more practical and real life knowledge, currently it is very theoritically heavy. Teaching online softwares must be compulsoury so that we remain updated with technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Students become Eligible for campus placements after in the 3rd year. The placements have been improved a lot in the past years. Companies like Pwc, kpmg, McKinsey, bain and Co come for campus placements. The highest package was 23 lakhs per annum last year.

Beginning of a new life- Hindu College

I choose this college as it got the NIRF rank 1 in 2024. The college is very diverse in terms of courses and students. The college has a campus area of around 25 acre. I have applied for the other colleges of north campus too but Hindu College was my first priority. I got it in the first round of common seat allocation system so I didn't need to bother to choose other colleges. I have to give cuet exam so that I can take admission in Delhi University. The eligibility for my course was to study mathematics till 12th class and the student who has given maths exam in cuet and 2 other subject and 1 language exam. Then the cutoff for this course comes in various colleges. College and course are allotted on the CSAS portal of Delhi University.
