Dislikes
- The College does not provide Hostel facilities to the students who are from outside Delhi. As a result, these students have to stay in the nearby accommodation or live in nearby accommodation as a paying guests (PGs).
- The Class rooms of the college are not air conditioned.
- Computer Labs require upgradation of hardware and software to keep up with the latest technological advancements.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course is designed in such a way that it makes students acquires those skills that makes them industry ready in the job market. After the introduction of NEP, the curriculum is updated to match Industry interviewing grounds. The curriculum enables students to also participates in extra curricular activities along with academics.
Internships Opportunities
The college encourages students to undertake internships during their course, providing them with practical experience and industry exposure. Approximately 50% students of the batch have taken internships in leading companies like Wipro, HCL, TCS, etc. and were offered the role of Human resource intern, Marketing intern, finance intern and as a consultant. Overall, the college encourages students to undertake internships in order to gain industry exposure and increase their skills.
Placement Experience
The Highest package offered by the college is Rs. 24 LPA and the average package offered ranges between Rs. 6-9 LPA as per latest placement report. Notable recruiters include Deloitte, KPMG, Ernest and Young, TCS, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Wipro and Make my Trip, among others. A diverse range of companies from various sectors such as IT, Finance, Marketing, Tourism, and Consulting visit the campus for recruitment. The overall placement rate at the college has been impressive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college is charged in such a way that it does not put a huge financial burden on the income of the parents. The fees charged by the college commensurates with the quality of education provided by the top- notch faculties of the college. If you are going to pursue 3-year undergraduate programs of B.com (Hons.), then the fees costs you around Rs. 38,610 which is the tuition fees of the course.
Campus Life
The name of the annual cultural fests of the college is Tatva which is held in the month of February every year. The CVS library is well-stocked with a diverse collection of books, journals and digital resources. It provides a quite and conducive environment for studying. Class rooms are well equipped with basic amenities, but are not air conditioned.
Admission
The admission into this programme was based on the marks scored by the candidate in Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after Class XII Board examination for admission into undergraduate programs in various universities. For admission into this programme, University takes into account one language, two domain subjects and either mathematics or accountancy which makes overall total marks 800. The examination consists majority of syllabus of Class XII Board examination.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are well experienced and have been authors and editors of the books in DU circuit. The teaching methods adopted are quite nice and understandable. The faculties helped the students to understand the topics taught through practical and real life experiences by solving case studies. Overall, faculties are very good in this college.
