Course Curriculum Overview
The best part of the curriculum is it has two internship program compulsory with the coursework. This opportunity gave me a great taste of research and also worked under the supervision of one of the best scientists of the country.
Fees and Financial Aid
As it's a government run institute, the fees are pretty affordable as compared to many other colleges in the the city. Many scholarship are available for female and needy students, for example Kanyashree(k3),Swami Vivekananda scholarship etc are there. Anybody fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for those scholarships
Campus Life
Didn't get any fest or cultural programs except freshers. Access to main and departmental library was given. Didn't get in touch with sports activities or social groups to be honest. There might be such groups but I wasn't aware of that
Admission
Every course is available for both CU and non CU students. But for masters,80% seats are reserved for students who have completed their bachelor's degree from any college under the University of Calcutta. Therefore the competition for outsiders is tough, the cutoff marks one needs to have for admission in masters is more than 80% marks in Bachelor's degree
Faculty
Teachers are very approachable, they'll never discourage you from asking questions. They always appreciate efforts to learn. But as usual there's biasness, but it's common everywhere so not a big deal. You'll definitely learn many amazing things
