Course Curriculum Overview
I am a graduate in biotechnology so for me genomic science was ideal as I was interested in it. There could be more experiments in the practical sessions and more placement opportunities. As of now there are no placements. Also the department could bring in some international and national conferences too.
Fees and Financial Aid
We paid 15000as the first fees, and some amount(I don't remember correctly) in the third sem I don't remember the payments in the 2nd and 4th sem. Then the hostel fees is 3220 for each semester with a mess bill of around 2500 each month. Also exam fees were around 720/sem
Campus Life
The annual arts fest is called Cankama. There is a dance club on campus called Meraki. There is a band too. Most classrooms have projectors connected to a system, some rare ones have smartboards. All the buildings have wifi. Different sports events are conducted throughout the year. Since there are students from all over India, a lot of festivals are celebrated.
Admission
The entrance exam was CUET. Eligibility is BSc in biological sciences. After getting the results of CUET we have to apply for Central University of Kerala and wait till the rank list is published. I did not have any reservation.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good in my department. They are all highly qualified and experienced. They have always asked to feel free to interact. The teaching methods and the methods of internal assessment are different from most places but they are better than the others.
