Overall the staff and Academics is good, the quality of teachers and the way they teach is good. Satisfactory experience
The campus is very neat and clean, bathroom facility and all is good
Library is good and very spacious. Has a silent atmosphere

Campus is too small consist of just 3 buildings
The college ground is not that big for a college, and only volleyball court and a football ground is available
Transportation is a bit issue here, Bus and all is available about 1 km away distances onlu

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is based on Kerala Technological university. The course curriculum is highly relevant to current standards. The curriculum provide a strong foundation and practical knowledge. Overall the difficulty is manageable and it is well designed and effective in meeting student needs

Internship opportunities provided by college is not that good , only a few amount of students are getting direct Internship from the college others have to reach out for external Internships and get their Internships by themselves.

Placement Experience

Placement facility is very good. Recently in our college two students got a very high Placement of 52 lpa. You shouldn't be worried about placements in this college.The average package is 8 lpa, you should secure a minimum of 7 Cgpa to attend the placement sessions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is fixed. Two types of fee structure is there, Fee concession is availed for students under reservation categories.the college provide assistance for applying and getting scholarship from government and private ones.

Campus Life

Annually in even semesters a tech fest named excel and cultural fest is conducted. This is managed by students who are elected to the union,Conducted in very good manner without any issues regarding the fest. Many programmes are conducted under the union. The college has a lot of clubs and communities to join.

Admission

Admission is based on keam entrance scores.You should secure a very high rank in the entrance exam to get admission in this college.you can get admission in low ranks if you belongs to any reservation categories. The procedure after getting allotted is conducted by college in very good manner.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good. All faculties are very attentive and they teach their subjects good manner. They are very conscious of the future of their students. The classroom sessions are very interactive so it helps to focus on the subjects more. The doubt clearance sessions and exams are also conducted frequently

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
