Course Curriculum Overview

My course is Electronics and Communication Engineering. It is a good course to select and has more scope in future aspects. But our syllabus is a kind of old. Most of the Fisrt year subjects are not relevant to our course.

Our Campus was small. But it never affect your campus life. Their is more Tech events takes place in our college. It will make you more engage in every activities. For any events Seniors and Juniors are work together and become friends.

Hostel Facilities

Our College provides Hostel for both Boys and Girls, But with a limited no of seats. The selection prrocess for students are according to the distance from their house. So it is little tough to get hostel. But you can check for private hostels near to college.

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Admission

you have to passout class 12 with subjects PHY, CHEM, AND MATHS on your stream. After that you have to Qualify the entrance exam named KEAM. After that ranks are announder correspomding to your scores in 12TH and KEAM exam. Thier will a selection process with respect to the ranks and your preffered course and college.

Faculty

Faculty members are friendly to us. They give freedom to evolve and be more creative. they give guidance and mentorship to go through safe and right path. Most of the teachers are like friends. Their Teaching is also very good .

College Feels Like Home

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
