Friendly seniors, calm atmosphere with no ragging or politics

Course Curriculum Overview

Considering present scenarios in the industry 30% of the topics in curriculum are not that helpful, but it sure does aid to shaping one's technological domain. But overall it can definitely be said that the curriculum prepares us but other skills in addition to it can guarantee success.

A lot of companies come to our college for different events and with that the students really do take advantage due to industrial exposure from the college itself. Students have got internship in Google, Amazon, Ansys and a lot of reputed companies

Fees and Financial Aid

Regarding fee structure, 45000-would be the fee for an year if you are getting admission under merit quota and 65000 for students under management quota And a few seats are also available for students under NRI quota

Campus Life

Being honest, the campus life is not that good. The college has very little campus area to make memories and a large portion of students arent satisfied with the campus vibe. But there are events in the campus which a lot of students participate in and the techfest EXCEL is also good

Admission

Considering cutoff you shouldhave a keam rank of below 5000 for electronics and communications but if you're opting for computer science then you'll need keam rank below 3000 probably.Seats can be made available in the official site of keam.

Faculty

Honestly it depends on the faculty, there are some who are great and do their work beautifully while there are also some who are lacking in their roles as faculty members. But I can safely say that most of them are good.????

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
