Course Curriculum Overview

I studying electronic engineering (VLSI and technology).it is emerging field in India.vlsi engineers in India and overseas are in great demand.nowdays India government push chip manufacturing and designing.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

They give lot of intership opportunity to the students.it help the students to improve the skill and knowing the industry very well.some companies offered under internship with stipend.at the end of the final year we do a project.

Placement Experience

In seventh semester students become eligible for campus placement.the companies visited are ansys, TCS, oracle, Infosys,ibm,etc..the highest package is 52lack per annum and the average package is around 25 lack per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

There is two type of fee structure are there one is state merits and the other one is management quata.the fees in state merits is around 25k per year and management quata fees is around 75k per year.the college provide lot of scholarship to the students

Campus Life

The annual tech fest is excel .it is one of major event happening in the college .the sports and the arts are also conducting.there lot of groups and clubs available in the campus it helps to improve our social interaction and some technical side club helps to improve our skills

Admission

The admission is through the keam entrance examination.first we qualify the Kerala entrance exam .the electronic engineering VLSI and technology is newly started course in the college .the cutoff rank for this course around 15k in state merits and 35k in management quata

The faculty to student ratio is not balanced one .the amount of students is very high compared to the amount of faculties.they help to improve our skills.they interact friendly with the students.we can easily approach them

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). I choose this college over gec and tkm because it was in my home town itself and it had better placement opportunities. MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
