They ensure the courses are align with the industrial applications and trends. This alignment helps students to acquire the skills and knowledge that employers seek during placements, making the students more competitive in the market. The internal exams are conducted in a timely manner which doesn't give the students much pressure.

The college is known for its high placement rates. There are separate cells called placement and training cell which finds opportunities for students as well as make them capable of attending interviews confidently. I hope to get placed in a reputable company after graduation.nearly 85% students gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college ,though government , has higher fees than other government engineering colleges in Kerala. There are two types of seats:state merit and management :?45000 and ?75000 respectively. They offer scholarships for students through university.

Campus Life

The college conducts its annual tech fest called excel with its title competition being the tech competition called ibeto.the tech fest is a three day program including seminars, workshops,fun activities and food stalls. Different clubs present in the college conduct various events in both tech and non tech field.the college also conducts annual arts and sports say by dividing the students into 4 different housss to compete against with.

Admission

The admission process was smooth through an easily accessible web portal . Aa I joined a course that started only last year the cutoff rank was low like 15k for general category. Cutoff was much lower for reserved seats.

Faculty

Faculty members are highly qualified holding their MTech and phds from top institutions.they engage in active research .faculty participate in student clubs and campus events enhancing campus life. Heavy workload for the faculty due to high enrolment

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Students in 7th and 8th semester are eligible to sit for campus placements. Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

MEC EEE REVIEW

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). I choose this college over gec and tkm because it was in my home town itself and it had better placement opportunities. MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More

Good for social life but very minimal infrastructure and facilities

The reason I chose this college over other options were due to the prime location in which it is present and due to the city it is present in . MEC is renowned for the placement opportunities available in this college and is placed in the top 3 colleges in Kerala in terms of placemenets . The admission is based on the student's KEAM rank and this rank decides whether you get the Merit seat or management seat . For others you also have an NRI seat .
