Best campus life

The course cureiculum is up to date with industry standards. We are even given a choice to opt for electives or even minors. If we complete the basket of specialization of three subjects then the student gets a certificate for completing specialization at the end of the program. There are mid semester and end semester exams in each semester. And in between that each semester has tut tests, internal test and practicals as well. Amd the exams at thapar are of moderate difficulty so if you even give your 60% efforts as hardwork you can ace these exams easily.

There are a lot if companies who come for internship only and also there are a lot of comapnies who extend internship to full time offers. Like jpmc comes for internship only for the branches biotech, chemical, civil etc in the 5th semester. And then jpmc comes for internship as well as full time offers for the rest of the branches inckuding cse, ece, ee, enc etc. Top recruiters include oracle, apple, zscaler, natwest group, deloitte, kpmg, optum , maruti, zs associates , blackrock etc . And most of them offer stipend of around 50k per month.

The campus placements are good enough at thapar. It depends on the branch to branch regarding which semester the students are elgible to sit for on camous placements . For major branches inclusing cs, ee, ece the students are eligible in 6th semester for internships and full time offers. Top recruiters like apple, zscaler, Oracle, American express, zs associates , jp morgan,deloitte, bajaj etc come for on campus placements. Around 90% students get placements if they sit for it. My plans after the degree is to go for masters degree from a top reputed institute.

Tution fee of my branch i.e electrical engineering was around 12 lac in total. Amd addings on it, hostel fee would be around 3 to 4 lac in total which includes mess fee as well. So in total i can say the total fee structure for me was around 16 lac. There are no as such compulsory charges except it. There are multiple scholarships opportunities students can avail. In the first year itself, students can avail these scholarships depending on their jee mains score or 12th score. Ans they can continue this scholarship till the last sem of clg through maintaining their cgpa above 8 consistenly. Amd even in each year the dean of academic affairs (doaa) of the college announces the list for students with highest cgpa of respective branches and these students get various scholarships for their upcoming semesters in the college.

The campus life at thapar is legit wow. Yhere are multiple fests in the college namely MUDRA, SATURNALIA which is the biggest fest of our college, UDAAN, VIRSA MELA which depicts punjab culture through various ctivities in the event and etc etc there is a long list for it. The library of thapar is top class with a big number of collection. There are multiple societies in the college which includes technical societies as well as non technical ones. The college has a active entrepreneurial development cell also.

The hostels of the college are really well furnished. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Each hostel has tv room, gym room, reading room,mess , night canteen etc. There are ac, non ac , single seater, 2 seater, 3 seater as well as 4 seater room available and they are allocated on the basis of cgpa of the student. Mess food is really good served as buffet system with a wide variety of options. And moreover the mess food is really hygienic and tasty. Registration gor hostel is done separately on the cgpa basis. And the hostels are really worth of the the price they charge from the students.

I am from 2019-2023 batch, so at my time the admissions were based on two modes. The first one was 70% students on the basis of jee mains exam. And the second one was 30% students on the basis of 12th score. Amd also the top 5 students of each board in 12th can take direct admission in the college. There are various reservations available as well. And there is a exam conducted by thapr itself in the december months that is for branch change amd lateral entry admissions means the students who are coming after diploma.

The faculty is amazing. Either they are pursuing phd or have already completed their phd. Many of the professors are IITIANS or else have their educational background from top premier institutes. The collge has tut sessions as well in which the faculty to student ratio is around 1:20 which is really good. And these faculties are the ones who are completing their masters from Thapar and are working as Teaching Assistants under the professors. We can often interact with techers and they are easily approachable through calls or text again it depends on the teacher but most of them are easily approachable.
