Course Curriculum Overview

The course is pretty legitimate and has various real-life applications, one improvement that the institution can apply is by providing recorded lectures to students. Exams take place twice in one semester. The faculties are good.

Internships Opportunities

Jpmc,atlassian, american express, bain. Roles are software engineering, analyst. stipend ranges from 30000 to 150000 per month. Various projects and hackathons are required to land a internship in software domain with a high stipend.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 4th year 1st semester. Apple, Atlassian, jpmc, Amex, bain, etc visit for recruitment, the highest package is 64lpa and the average package is 12lpa. 80% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees for computer engineering courses come to 22 lakhs for 4 years and if someone opts for a hostel, it comes to 28 lakhs for 4 years. As of 1st year, I haven't received any scholarships but I aim to achieve them in the future.

Campus Life

The annual fest is called Saturnalia and the rest of the fests are the urja and Thapar food festivals. Books can be issued from the library for 1-month classrooms have projectors and comfortable seating arrangements for students, there are various sports activities present for students with a tennis court, volleyball court, and a big ground. Popular student-run clubs are an econ club, ccs, edc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are modern with good food quality. Many rooms have air conditioners and comfortable beds.menus of the mess of the respective hostels are pretty good. Registration for hostels is done through the main sites and are affordable

Hostel Fee: INR 43000 per year

Admission

The admission process was smooth, I gave jee mains and got admission on the basis of that. My branch is computer engineering which I was awarded on the basis of my jee mains percentile of 95(general, outside Punjab). The admission process can be improved by providing all the required information after a student is shortlisted for a branch of engineering

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
