Fees is very high here which is about 25 lakh for 4 year
If your branch is computer science fees will be higher than 25 lakh
Here intake of students is quite high which is about 2500 + students per year

Average package is quite good here which is about 12 lpa , which is quite better than most of the private as well as government college, you can get computer science at about 97 percentile in jee main though outside punjab quota

I am not that aware of that but many students get internship opportunities in companies like jp morgan , facebook , google , apple also visit here for campus placement and internship which is the best thing here

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities is very nice here with a average package of about 12 lpa . And highest is about 63 lpa last year provided by linked in . Which make college far better than most of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is quite high here which is about 25 lakh for four years , if you have computer science fees will be higher than 25 lakh , scholarship is quite good here, you can get 100 percent scholarship by getting a cgpa greater than 9.7 . Here there are 3 merits which you can cbeck on scolarship website of thapar

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is far better than most of nits as well as other private college , campus is about 200 acer . Here there are many societies according to interest, library is the best thing in thapar which is very big .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite nice , you get very good rooms with good furniture in quite good rate which varies between 40k to 70k according to different types of seater like 1s ,2s ,3s , 4s with ac and non ac facilities

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Here is 50 percent reservation for punjab students and other 50 percent for outside punjab student's, 50 percent intake through boards and 50 percent intake through Jee mains application form fees is about 1500

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
