The BTech course includes various subjects that deal with problems ranging from daily life to those in big Multi National companies. Some subjects may be tough while some may be moderate. This depends upon student to student. Exams are conducting in middle of semester known as mid sems and at the end of semester known as end sems. In middle of those students are assigned various assignments and projects.

Companies like atlassian provide internship opportunities as the role of a software Development intern. While companies involved in supply chain management like Flipkart and trident also provide internship opportunities. Moreover in the core Sector tata powers is one of the significant companies that provide internship opportunities to talented students

Students generally become eligible for placements during 7th semester with some also grabbing it in their 6th semester. In Nit jsr, campus placements are one of the core things that the college administration boasts of. There is almost 100% placements in each branch with a decent average package per branch. In software domain, companies like Amazon , atlassian etc visit the college annually while in the core domain companies like qualcomm, tata powers, vedanta marks their presence in the college. Highest package for this year was bagged by 5 students of 83lpa provided by the australian Company atlassian.

Fee is generally near to 1.05-1.2 lakh per semester that includes institution fee, Hostel fee and mess fee. If you are a day scholar then you only have to pay the institution fee that is nearly 72 thousand. there is fee remission that is provided to students who are not from sound financial background, its 2/3rd for family having Income under 5lpa and 100% for family having Income under 1lpa.Moreover various scolarships like FFE ,reliance foundation, tata Cummins are provided to talented students who need financial aid for their Studies

Nit jsr conducts three Anual fest, 1st one is the Annual sports fest Urja, 2nd one is the Annual cultural fest culest and the other one is the Annual techno management fest ojass which is the second largest tech fest in Eastern India. Furthur there is a rich history of clubs in nit jsr ranging from sports, cultural to tech and social . Also there is a Central library where students can issue books depending their own need. Sports infra includes Badminton court, basketball court, volleyball court and lawn Tennis court. Social clubs like nss , sankalp are Active in promoting social welfare and harmony among students

Hostels are alloted during the registeration of each year. The first year students(boys)have sharing rooms while the other year students are allotted with Individual rooms. Each room is provided with wifi/lan connection. Girls have sharing rooms for all the years. Talking about the mess food it is decent most of the times with ups and lows going seldomly.

The admission to Nit jamshedpur for BTech degree is solely Based on the jee mains result.Students can apply for jee main through nta's official siteAfter the mains result they apply for the admission process through josaa/csab counselling and are alloted seats according to their preferred lists(if they are vacant)
