Course Curriculum Overview

it is very worth of taking addmission in this college. it has the best infrastructure and best faculty. they provide very well startup opportunity. Teachers are very good. they teach very well. and they are well qualified. This college is very strict about the studies. they care a lot for their students. their are monthly tests. I have zero regards of taking addmission here

Internships Opportunities

Google, Microsoft and many more companies are there for internship opportunity. if you have any project ideas, then you just have to tell the teacher and the college will fund you for your project. If you can't grab any internship then the college will give you the internship in college with stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

here tuition fees hike every year, but only for the new student. but the fees of this college is very high. it cost around 25 lakh for four years. Getting scholarship is very hard, you need to maintain 9 cgpa to get 100% tuition fees waiver. campus employees are also very friendly.

Campus Life

Their are a biggest fest called saturnalia. Their is a very big library named 'Nava Nalanda Central Library'. The classroom are very well maintained, and everywhere there is use of technology. their are very good sport complexes. all type of clubs are available.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are very good, but in first you will get decent hostel. After you came to second year you will be getting five star hostel rooms. Mess food of thapar is also good, but some days you may not like the food but overall it is very good. if you rent room near college then it will cost more than hostel. i suggest you to take hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 500000 per year

Admission

This college takes admission In two modes. one is through jee mains percentile and also through boards percentage. And the 50% seats are reserved for Punjab students and other 50% for outside Punjab students. it's quite deficult for outside Punjab students to take addmission. for outside Punjab students the cutoff are very high. if you want computer science then you need 97 percentage in boards or 95%ile in jee mains.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More
