I am in computer engineering(specialisation in data analysis and machine learning).This course deals with the actual botany of computers and software making. Most of the part is taught practically in well-equipped labs.Till now i have never regretted about taking this course.Some students also go in the research exams taken and analysed by the professionalls.No student parties or elections.

College provide internship program in the last year .you have to decide in which company you want to get internship and write a letter .then you have the interview with that company and got selected .companies can take you as a full-time worker if they want after an internship.

When you are in the 3rd year companies visit and take interviews and you can get placed on the spot .Almost 90% of the students got placed.Huge companies like Google,Microsoft,iball,Hyundai, etc visits every year.Average package is 10 lac.

Events are running almost every week. You never get bored here. The Biggest event is Saturnalia in which famous celebrities are hired to entertain the students.Many events like virsa,mudra etc running one after other increase the participation rate of students and increase their confidence level.

This college is considered as an expensive college of India being a private institution.Hostels and Mess fees are really high than other colleges like nit jalandhar or iit's. You will need a total of about 12 lac rupees for 4 year degree including hostel and mess fees .l

Hostels are jaw dropping but as i said earlier they are bit expensive.there are 5 hostels for boys , 3 for girls, 1 for PG boys and 1 for PG girls . Newly built iconic hostels are a piece of attraction.Hostels of thapar university has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from asia ratings.You can have single rooms, sharing with 1 or sharing with 2 or 3.Food is also good.

Faculty is really amazing, helpful, experienced and friendly. Students are so attached with the interesting faculty that they rarely miss their lectures. Teachers are familiar and experienced with highly equipped classes and labs.overall, standard of teaching is more than high.
