I like college environment. There are many trees planted in the college.
The behaviour of the senior of this college is very good.
After completing the syllabus the professor of this college arranges the class test.

Dislikes

The number of computers in the computer lab of this college is very less.
Since the classes in these colleges are very large, it is very difficult to listen to the lectures behind the class.
Some of the washrooms in this college are a little dirty.

Course Curriculum Overview

As this course is commerce related and my favourite subject is accountancy so I preferred this course. Along with studies, students' computer skills and communication skills are also emphasized here. Since the number of students in your college is very high it is better to increase the number of computers in the college.

Course Fees: INR 750 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

This college changes Rs. 500 to Rs. 700 per semester. And Rs.500 is also taken for the end of semester exam of this college. There are arrangements of different types of government and private scholarship. After passing out from this college there is a system of placement in various companies.

Campus Life

This college has a big library. This library has various books for bachelor degree and master degree in commerce. This college has different books for commerce related competitive exams. There is a reading room in this college. There are scriptures in different religions for study in this college. This college has various cultural groups like dance, song etc. There is no ragging in this college.

Admission

Generals for this course require minimum 95% marks to take admission in this college. And also SC, ST, OBC require minimum 85% to 95% marks to take admission. The application form of this college is available on the college website. A minimum of Rs. 600 per semester has to be paid. Admission can be taken here after class twelfth exam. There are reservation for SC, ST, OBC A and OBC B. Apart from these, some seats are reserved for those who are physically sick. Here the main exam of every semester is conducted every six months is conducted in between. The admission process here is really good. So there is nothing more to say about the improvement of the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. A few companies like TCS visit our college every year. The average package offered is around 100000 PA I want to go for higher studies after the degree but I want some real life work experience too.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
