Course Curriculum Overview

BTech from National Institute is very good opportunity of placement and spartups . Curriculum prepare us for working in industries, generally in manufacturing industries. In every semester 2 month after semester starts we have mid semester exam and then after 1 month there's end semester exam.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 216000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies give invite offer to students for their 2 month or 6 month .Not all student able to get internships mainly students for circuit branches can get internships in Non core and non circuital branch students get internships in core and visit to industry plant .

Placement Experience

From 5th semester student are eligible for internship and from 7th semester student are eligible for placements. Many companies visits our college like Flipkart, Tata steal , Tata motors,ashok Leyland.

Fees and Financial Aid

Complete cost of this is around 800000 ( 8 lakh) in 4 years. It is central government owned institute so there is no such hike in tuition fees. For students having family income less than 8 lakh there is chance of fee remission

Campus Life

Urja is annual sports festival, OJASS is annual technical festival and Culfest is annual cultural festival of NIT JAMSHEDPUR . Urja held in September or October. Culfest is in February. OJASS is held in month of April.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is in good condition. In first year a single room given two students . There is a bed,light , fan , table , chair and electricity port in every room. Food delivered is in mess is of good quality.There is a menu for each day it can also be change by wardons.

Hostel Fee: INR 32000 per year

Admission

This Btech course in National Institute of Technology so after Jee mains exam with good percentile you can get admission in this. For application process you have to apply for councilling through JoSSA or CSAB

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

There are mid-semester exams in the middle of every semester and an end-sem at the end of it. There are a total of 8 semesters. The course curriculum is of mid-difficulty. Anyone who attends and listens to classes can pass them with flying colours. Curriculum is designed as per UGC standards. They also teach subjects to meet the industry demands. Foreign language such as French is compulsory. Overall the curriculum is good.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

i have applied for IITs but could not able to get beacuse of slightly lower ranks i didnt get rejection from other colleges as got admission throughJOSSA in NIT jamshedpur admission is solely done through JOSSA . one must take JEE MAINS first then must have a good CRL 0f LIKE 10000 TO 15000 for general category of other state if you are from jahrkhand you can get in lower rank too like 20000 crl rank if you are a general student else it might get lower for the othe category depending upon your category...Read More

One of the biggest reason for me to choose this college was, it is the best college with the best average package that I can get on my rank. And it was very affordable for me and I was getting a circuital Branch so it was very easy for me to choose this. The admission process was very smooth you first have to apply for Jossa counselling and in that you have to enter a lot of colleges and based on your rank you will allotted a college and after Jossa finished you also get chance to sit at CSAB counselling, after you get alloted this seat. I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat .
