IEM is a place of reputation, responsibilities, Discipline, a certain type of lifestyles like that of soldiers or job engaged people, u will feel the rush of it leading down your veins, So ,if you're not a sober don't wanna place yourself in this type of Day to day programme, its not for u mate. There are so many pros about IEM: placement discipline Ragging free campus Prequites of a job attitude gives birth to a Different kind of Person a bit more civilized one. STudents from here Crack Premier exams LIke GATE CAT well located in salt lake city transportation is good Life gets better in a certain way many opportunities to grow LIke Labs Workshops and many more cons: attendance mandotory A bit ridicolous FAculty unnecesaary rules and regulation dress code No campus no college life You have to come before 9 otherwise tata byebye

The college follows the MAKAUT university curriculum which is I'd say comparatively moderate as compared to others University. the course Of CSE IT is quite balanced but I really feel the need for some rigorous Workshops in the curriculum. It lacks in practical knowledge a bit, Theory portion is quite good. exams are taken Quite on time and with total procedures.

Being the first year, I don't have this information crystal clear. but as I heard from the seniors, You will have to look on your own in this very regard, Although Some faculties do give u some Assistance.

Placement last year as of 2017 was almost 76%, which is very good as compared to other colleges in WB, It reaches to even 90% in CS It. Infosys, TCS, CTS, cognizant, are the main recruiters.

The Fee structure in IEM is moderate, although it is Expensive As compared to every Other college of West Bengal. At the same time, it is much lesser as compared to the other Engineering colleges of India. It can be Put in the category of Feasible, no doubt.

IEM has a provision of zero ragging, it is indeed a ragging free campus, now every coin has two faces so, on the other hand, the anti-ragging environment gives rise to zero contact between seniors and juniors. Talking about students chapter, they are not that much efficient in leading the freshers.

IEM doesn't have its own hostel but it does provide WIth some third-party help. The IEM provided hostels are much Costly with fewer Facilities. Most of the students live in flats or PGs. PGs are the most common in here, PGs cost around 6-7k in here. flats are much convenient though.

Alumni network is well placed not only in various parts of India but in abroad too. on our Orientation programme, many came and congratulated and encouraged us.

Exams are taken per 6 months basis, and as per given Date and time, EXams are taken Seriously in here, which boosts the meritious students. there are 2 mid sems, after which the practicals are taken and then the Semester exams Labs marks are sent to the University beforehand.

First the Counselling procedure is done,,In which I was alloted this institute accordingly my merit. Then, I went to the College,, The process wasn't that tough ,, I needed to verify the Documents of my class 10th 12th. then the draft of almost 70k,,in which My 1st sem fee was included. Then I got Prospectus nd fee structure of all the semester and Dress/bags etc.
