Remarks

College is great because it isn't among the top best colleges of DU, so you get a chance to do things, lead easily and learn because of that. Otherwise, if you imagine being in the best college, it might help you in growing with the competition, but competition can degrade a person sometimes and discourage sometimes while leading in a comparatively lesser competition gives you more lessons.

Entrance Preview

I got admitted through the normal DU admission process of cut offs. I had my best of 4 at 93.25% and made to this college at a quite later stage. I chose it because of its constantly growing phase. Everything is getting better here, including co curriculars.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is the best because it is borrowed from DU and nothing can be better in India. It considers all important core subjects and there are practicals on computer for 4 subjects in B.Com Hons and these are fun to learn and very important for future. Electives are the best way to read outside the context of your course and while ARSD provides option for Electives, doesn't offer many choices but does offer decent number of options.

Internships Opportunities

No, it doesn't provide internships at all.ARSD College provides jobs and placements for joining after college but doesn't provide any internships.

Placement Experience

3

There are very less companies that come to college for placing students but some of them which are good include 2 of the BIG 4's, KPMG and Deloitte. The average package is around 3.5 - 4 lacs per month. Otherwise, the placements are okayish. Companies come to the college but not for a lot of good job profiles.

College Events

3.5

A lot of events are regularly organised in the college with great enthusiasm from students, teachers and management. The annual college fest is really big with big stars as the star performers and it is really fun. But it definitely faces a lot of problem sometimes

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides some sort of scholarships for students on some basic criteria. I haven't availed any such scholarship but you can easily find one in the details in the brochure of college which can be found at arsdcollege.nic.in

Campus Life

4.5

Diversity and gender ratio are very very favourable as in their number is good and diversity makes it the best college with all of the students and teachers living in unity. No social evils exist in the college at all, not at all. Extracurriculars are good in number and the quality is amazing as well. Tolerance rate is almost 9999

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are always helpful. It's the best quality about the seniors, they guide you with placements and sometimes, even help you out with meeting teachers, help related to course, management etc.

Exam Structure

Exams and practicals are aren't at all frequent. In ARSD college, because of DU, midsems are not like the proper examinations, rather just internals of maximum 10 or 20 marks and just 1 or 2 chapters or units. Practicals happen when required. It is sort of a self learning opportunity

Admission

I got admission on the basis of my percentage in academics which was 93.25% and fell in this college's cut off list. One has to fill the registration form for DU online and then when the admission procedure starts, you need to see which college can you apply for, according to your percentage and cut off and then apply for the college online and print the form and take it to the college. College administration is great except sometimes due to pressure, some one or two people get a little restless. Otherwise, it will be a hassle free admission process. After this, one needs to pay online for the admission before the next list opens.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is quite qualified and active in many activities and keeps motivating children to participate in different places to learn more. Classroom learning happens a little less due to less number of periods happening because of activities or issues related to DU.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.
