awesome campus life due to good facilites
good hostel food and mess courts of every sports
campus is too good as per the infrastructure

Dislikes

in contrast of big campus students need to travel a lot per day for needs
food sometimes get weird as per dates and days
hostel in timings for boys need to be more than usual

everything is very appropriate and very scheduled in thapar institute...every faculty is phd qualified....exams are very easy to paas....study one week before and you wud rock it.term exams occur every 6 months i.e every semester

there are various companies that offer good internships in various branches and fields of success. many companies offer ctc placements directly after placements usually many companies do this and it is very beneficial to students

from 6th semester onwards people students are ready for campus placements. companies like tcs,tata motors,volvo,wns and many more companies are available for placements, they offer very good placements and on time paclages.

Fees and Financial Aid

fees for the course is a little bit high....but the facilities are too osm for the needy ones. on campus jobs are good to go...due to recession this year oppurtunities are little less. but it would get much better in due time.

Campus Life

thapar has the best library in the northern india. books and everything is available on due time and very feasible to have them. classrooms are air conditioned and well managed the staff at the campus.

Hostel Facilities

every registration occurs on thapars official website and it is very to access. if u rented a pg or room locality is patiala, punjab. patiala has good facilites as per the students. food and cafes are very maintained are at good costs.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

you need minimum 60 percent marks in class 12th board exams. Application form is available on thapar institutes original website. Caste reservations are sometimes applicable for admissions. If i wanted, i would remove the state quota,

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Honest is the best Policy

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
