There all students are too studies and good behaviour
Faculty is too good and friendly which is not expected.
Amusing library and reading room . Too much seminar is occurred.

Too small campus and there have not any canteen

Course Curriculum Overview

I am passionate about commerce .so i aquire the course. Students and faculty ratio is good enough. Teaching quality is very useful and standard as expected. There have little bit problem about exam times ,it is late for university's fault. And exams are soso to pass

From our session there have an option to do summer internship. So we have not any idea about it and how it is going to work so sorry. Here have min.character 200 what can i do so l just write the things that is not work at all

Placement Experience

From 5th sem students are eligible to attend campus placement. Big four are usually came for placement but is it occurred before the pendamic after that there have a uncertainty about it.10 percent can get placement. After completing the course i want to enrolled myself to professional course like CA,CMA

Fees and Financial Aid

It is not so high even very cheap amount of money which everyone can effort at all.But as i am came to the city Kolkata as my living cost is also so high it around 10000 per month which is too much burden to my family as we are lower middle class. Here also available some scholarships but their amount is not enough to afford even it is just 10 percent of my monthly expenses

Campus Life

There are a fest named Quest and another one is U calipso therebhave lots of fun ,enjoyment and cultural activities as well as programme. Also we have a amusing library and the library maam is so supportive and always encouraged to read new books and journals. Amenities of class room is also very good .Just tomorrow had finished our annual sports.Yes have a social group run by students call TMC paty.

Admission

If some one get less number than general, he or she also get admission on this college until the reserve cota exhausted. It should be more fast .lots of reservations are available here it is also a good thing.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
