Good College

I choosed this course because I had commerce in my HS. The course prepares me very well for the real-world. It helps to make my base stronger and be a good accountant and also makes me capable of working in other high posts in a company or industry.

There are various companies such as times group, adamaas group, etc which provide internship facilities and also organise various workshops for students for their development and helps them to engage in various activities

The semester-wise fees is ?2894 hence the fers per year is ?5788 i.e ?5790(approx). Admission fees is ?4970. There is no lab fees for BCom students as there are no lab related activities. Only The BCom Students Having Computer Science and Application have to pay the fees for using the lab. Other batchmates who are from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and Have Valid Caste Certificates Get Various Benefits. Various Scholarships such Kanyashree, Vivekananda Scholarship, etc. Its Very Beneficial for the students and also very helpful for the financially weak candidates.

The Annual Festival of the college is generally held and organised in the month of December. The freshers is organised in October after the completion of admission of first semester students. The library has a lot of books and has various books and covers all topics. The technologies are updated and students are taught in good and modern ways. Sports and Extracurricular activities are offered on campus and college has a very good reputation in field of games and sports. There are Many student run social groups and study groups which are very helpful.

I applied for various other colleges such as Heramba Chandra College, Prafulla Chandra College, Dinabandhu Andrews College, Bidhannagar College, KK Das College. I couldn't make it there because of the new admission process of Calcutta University. I didn't get rejection from any college. In the new process you can apply for various colleges but you can get approval for only one College and if you do not want to get admission in the college. Then you have to cancel the admission and repeat the same process again . As my college is under Calcutta University so it has to follow the university rules and process of admission.

The Facilities are good and some are very good. The y are approachable easily. The students can approach them anytime and they always try to help as much as they can. All of them are good and one of the teacher Samir Bera sir I like him very much because of his teaching style and concept clearing method. He explains elaborately and teaches everything in depth. Asit Kumar Shit sir is aslo good he is very regular and always look after the students and guide them. There are various class tests going on. A tutorial exam is taken before every semester final and then the students have to sit for the semester final exams. The tutorial exams are neither too easy nor too hard. The teachers prepares the question paper in such a way that majority of the students can pass the exam. The students who do not study can't pass the exam and the teachers always motivate the students to study.

The environment outside the college is very nice. There is everything fitness centres, cafes, indian restaurants , chinese restaurants, sweet shops, street market, etc. There is even a shopping mall (lake mall). College campus opens on 6:30AM and closes on 5:30PM. . Famous Hangout places like Rabindra Sarobar Lake, Lake Mall, etc are there around the college. The Night Life Is Very Enjoyable there
