About Alipurduar College
Alipurduar College is a government-sponsored college located in Alipurduar, West Bengal and was established in 2020. The college offers several UG & PG courses in its different constituent and affiliated Colleges under the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts, Commerce and Law. It offers both general and honours courses like B.Sc, BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA courses. The admission is done based on merit. Students shall qualify the basic eligibility criteria of passing from a relevant discipline.

Ques. Does Alipurduar college take transfer students from other colleges?
Ans. Yes. If a student has been admitted to a College, he/she/transgender shall not, except as otherwise provided in the Ordinances, be subsequently admitted to any other College without the production of a Transfer Certificate from the Principal of the College in which he/she/transgender studied last. A student admitted to a College, shall not ordinarily be allowed to take a transfer to any other College, except at the end of a semester.
If a transfer application is made at any time, other than at the end of a Semester, on the ground of (a) transfer of the parent or guardian of the student from the station at which the College is situated, or (b) reasoned need for a change on the ground of health supported by roper medical evidence, or any other sufficient reason, the Principal may grant the transfer.
Ques. What are the rules that should be followed while admission of transfer students at Alipurduar college?
Ans. Admission on Transfer should abide by the following stipulations:
- A candidate taking transfer from one College to another is required to pursue the same course of study with identical subject combination in both the colleges;
- Admission on transfer must not violate the approved intake of the course concerned of the College granting admission. Only in cases of wards of Government employees who have been transferred, a relaxation of intake may be granted with the permission of the Vice-Chancellor;
- Cases of admission on transfer must be intimated in writing to the University authority by the College admitting such candidates within a fortnight of such admission without which such admission on transfer will not be recognized;
- All other steps and procedures related to the transfer will be by the provisions of the Ordinances.
Ques. Is there any reservation system at Alipurduar College?
Ans. Yes. There will be a reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled candidates as per Govt. Rules. For differently-abled candidates, a minimum disability of at least 40% will be considered. Reservation is offered as per the NBU rules. Categories along with their percentages are tabulated below:

Ans. The College has a great infrastructure to provide this basic facility :

Ques. Does Alipurduar college have hostel facilities?
Ans. The College has two general Hostels, one for boys with 80 seats and one for girls with 60 seats (Under repairing and renovation). A new Women’s hostel under U.G.C. A special scheme is under construction. Two separate Hostels for S.C./S.T. boys and girls have been set up by the Govt. on the college land within the college campus. These two hostels also provide seats to the bonafide S.C./S.T. College students are controlled by BCW Deptt. of the Govt. of West Bengal. For admission to the college hostels, the students are required to apply in prescribed forms separately after admission to the degree course on payment of necessary fees.
Ques. Does Alipurduar college have NSS and NCC clubs?
Ans. Yes. All students, both boys & girls, are allowed to opt for enrolment in NCC if selected by the concerned NCC officers. Eligible students are allowed to get enlisted as NSS volunteers under the NSS Programme office of the college for doing Social Works.

Likes
- Seniors were super awesome and supportive and because of this good behaviour we also conveyed the ritual of seniour-junior good bonding.
- Fees is quite affordable than other colleges and dressing code is missing here you can wear anything you want.
- An union is here with some earlier graduated ex students and recent students, they try to help students with every possible way.
Dislikes
- Classes don't go here as you would think. Teachers bunks often and most of the time students themselves bunk.
- Heavily political party influence. You can't even say any other party name in front of them except TMC.
- Random strikes occure here, most of the time during votes the union brings rally supporting TMC and they pull college going students too. I've seen many students get beaten for that reason.
Admission:
I wanted to enroll in BA English Hons course and I got the seat here. Compared to other colleges fees of this college is a little less and they don't even care for your attendance. You just can appeare during the times of exams only and they'll be like.. ok it's fine unless you have paid full fees. Since I'm have given my 12th during 2020 the exams were cancelled and we all got our marksheet without writting a single letter but in the basis of 10th and 11th marks which is 100% unfair, because of that I couldn't clear the cutoff of better colleges.

- I the best thing i liked about this college are the professors and the faculty. The professors were helpfull and understanding. The office staff was also helpfull. The professors were very professional and experienced. They helped me a lot
- The college location is best . The quality of the infrast. ructure is good like a normal gov college, we can't expect private college like designs. The college has a computer lab , a chemistry physics and biology lab , a library and a seminar hall .
- The college also has smart , a canteen and other basic amenities. This is the only college in alipurduar with BCOM course. Social environment is good here and a friendly environment. Overall best college for both introverts and extroverts
Dislikes
- The college infrastructure needs some development. The college needs more lights in the hallway otherwise it looks like a horror film set .
- The college routine needs to be changed and the college need more bilingual teachers and stuff.

Eligible students need atleast 70% in 12 board exam. Students can easily apply through online application on the college website or the government website . Every information related to online admission can be found on the college websites.

- Rigidity in office related works which take too much time
- Airheaded way of planning and informing of the exam dates and such
- The political influence over the university at times

Admission was based off my results of boards I was allotted seats through the general list so there have been no instances of me availing of reservation benefits. The application form and likewise information is available at college's website and the college itself.

First I apply for this course with my Higher secondary percentage to alipurduar collage then after few days counselling list published and then I paid admission fee and then went for document verification then I got successfully admission.

- Behavior of teaching staff is friendly and humble and also non teaching staff is helpfull.

- This college dont have any student canteen or any good play ground

Alipurduar College's admission process is based on Merit, it doesn't have any personal interviews or group discussions the admission to this college is totally on Merit based. This college has a reservation for St SC obc.

There is no entrance exam pi gd or anything, The admission is based on a merit list , for every course such as honour b.com, English hours, Bengali honours, geography honours, history honours, political science honours, philosophy honours
Admission:
Alipurduar college is a great college for English honors. The application form will release after ending the higher secondary exam. Application fees are minimal it's around 1000 and the per semester cost is 5000. Reservation benefits are available for SC and ST category Students. The admission process is fit and fine so it does t have any improvement for the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Its great. Presently its semeseter, CGPA framework on our school and I think its great as its making test condition following a half year consistently. I think this semiannual test structure getting environment of study in a consistent way.

You can not take admission to Alipurduar College as the admissions are closed now.
Candidate must have a 10+2 pass with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate with 60% marks in the concerned subject otherwise 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in 10+2 for BCom Course.
