A review of Alipurduar College

Fees and Financial Aid:

I pursued BA English Honours from Alipurduar college, paying only around 1300-1400/- per year which is very affordable. i also recieved the swami vivekanda scholarship of 12,000/- per year, which supported my education greatly. the college has a decent campus supportive faculty and good environment for studies.

My batchmates pay the same fees. We do get a scholarship named Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship which is a state based scholarship from West Bengal given to students who bring atleast a minimum percentage of 60% marks in their previous exams.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

The other thing is that the college exams are easy and manageable for which majority of the students pass easily focusing on other area of interest too.

Dislikes

The first most important is that I don't like the teaching curriculum as it is outdated and no present industry knowledge is being taught.

Exam fees are to be paid separately and assignment expenses are to be paid on our own. Other than this we don't have any other hidden charge. Yes, we are also eligible to apply in a state scholarship named Swami Vivekananda merit cum means which is a state scholarship given by West Bengal government. The amount of scholarship is 12,000 per year which includes college fees, hostel fees, books, stationery and mobile or laptop. Other than that we can also apply in other private scholarship or central scholarship if we want. My batchmates also pay the same amount of fees in all categories.

Fees is quite affordable than other colleges and dressing code is missing here you can wear anything you want.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Including all the fees you have to pay around 1500 rs every semester as admission fees(if in English Hons.). And fees varies depending which course you chose. And before 1-2 months you have to pay 600 for the examination fees so you could sit in the exam. However that exam fees has been a little increased than earlier, it was around 450rs.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Since it's a government aided institution it's fees is very less as compared to private colleges and other gov aided institutions. Government provides easy scholarship like SWAMI VIVEKANANDA scholarship etc . Which helps students from poor background.

fees are 4000 per year and there no schlarship avaialable for master of science candidate and there few fees waiver for sc/st candidate . this is one the lowest tuition fees among all colleges in west bengal
