Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is obviously outdated and the knowledge we get through it, is bookish and does not apply to present industry methods. This way we are given no exposure to the real life industry knowledge. The exams are held on semester basis after every 6 months and are easy and manageable.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fees I paid for my course is 10,500rs which was for 4 years divided into different semesters. The registration and admission fees were 2000rs. Exam fees are charged separately by the university. Books are needed to be bought separately. My batchmates pay the same fees. We do have a scholarship named Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship which pays us 12,000 per year.
Campus Life
There are not much events and fests held in our college other than freshers party and farewell of seniors. We have only limited and old edition books in our library. The college doesn't focus much on sports and extracurricular activities on campus. There are few student clubs in our college run by college union seniors.
Admission
I chose this college because my seniors had suggested this college to me. The eligibility requirements to get admission in this college is very simple. You just need to bring 60% marks in your 12th boards and you are good to go. The admission process is simple too. You just need to apply through a website called wbcap and get selected through that website.
Faculty
There are only 2 faculty members in my department who teach all the subjects in all the semesters which is not good at all. Though they are learnt and experienced but still the college needs to appoint more teachers. There are 8 semesters in my course which are held after every 6 months which are easy and majority of the students pass.
Night Life
There is nothing like night life in our college as the college shuts at 5 pm with which evrything gets closed. We don't have gym, cafeteria or public area in our college. Hostel timings are flexible and not maintained by students. We don't have any famous hangout place near our college as well.
