Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College was established in 1888 by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. The college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal and awarded ‘B’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers undergraduates and postgraduates courses in the field of Arts and Science
Earlier, the college was known as Victoria College
In 1970, it was renamed as a Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College
In 2004, the college started postgraduate courses in Bengali, Sanskrit and Zoology and History in 2010
The college has been conferred "Centre of Excellence" status by the University Grants Commission
The college has an IGNOU study center to facilitate distance education
It is located in Cooch Behar with a campus of 13.27 acres (53,700 m2) and built-up area of 9032.96 sq. meters
The college is divided into six blocks-administrative, bioscience, centenary, humanities, chemistry and library

The college has spacious and well-equipped library with:
55,000 books, journals and periodicals in a two-storied building with an area of about 2,500 sq ft (230 m2)
Reference section in which there is a lending section and a Reading Room
The reference section has books on diverse subjects including encyclopedia
The library has LAN facilities and LIBSYS software and follows open access for PG student
Women’s Cell
It helps female students on various socio-economic and cultural barriers faced by them
Extra-Curricular:
The college organizes various activities like debates, music, extempore speech, quiz etc. The college won 1st and 3rd position in state level Inter-College Quiz Competition at Kolkata
The college also arranges outdoor games like Football and Cricket etc. are held in the playground. Physical education department of the College looks after the progress of sports and games of the college
'Nabarun’ ,the annual social of the college, organized under the leadership of the students' union of this College
NCC - NCC organizes "B" and "C" certificate examinations and various campus in West Bengal and outside as part of the NCC programmes. Cadets participate in Republic Day parade in New Delhi every year. From 2004-2008 sixty cadets have been employed in defense services

My college life was a golden era in my all student life. I everyday present on my college.
Problem on potable water, At Rainey Season grass was very big in size no maintain.

Trees and grass no maintain in rainey season.
Admission:
This college was the best college in my district and now according to NAAC my college is best college in West Bengal. First of all I take admission in other college but in the last moment I have chance in this college
College provide us gym facility at free of cost, also we have table tennis room for practice.
The infrastructure of the college is very good and royal. The main building looks like palace.
Dislikes
The college union president is not selected by voting , the ruling government make their college president without conduct voting .

We have to passed 12 from any recognize board. The application process is online and application fee is taken after admission so it's became student friendly. The reservation facility is followed by government rules.
it's is most prestigious collage in cooch behara and north bengal also. Cut-off is always high.you have to carry good markes to appli there.There is no entrance exam for admission.All process based on markes.
The sports and study environment here is quite good. There is an annual sports competition which I like very much
Dislikes
Lack of adequate provision in the college cannot protect the students.
Like our college has politics which I don't like at all politics inside college is very bad it disturbs students studies
Admission:
80 percent marks are required to get admission in our college, after that the admission project goes on based on various merit lists. Also entrance exam is conducted.After that, college admission is taken within 30 days. The admission process is quite difficult.
We get a library within the college.We get a big field for sports. I like these things.

And I don't dislike anything about college.
Some bathrooms are very dirty and need to be cleaned.

No , Our admission process is good. The admission process is online. Online admission process has greatly benefited all the students. Teachers are helpfull but not all. Admission process are very good .
The college has a large field where students play sports and a canteen where meals are served.

The back gate of the college is due to lack of gateman due to which various people from outside enter the college easily.
The garden of this college is in a bad condition which is in dire need of repair
There is politics in this college due to which the students face various difficulties
Admission:
80 to 90 percent mark in higher secondary then a merit list is published in our college according to that merit list the admission process of students starts and after admission the students start their classes.
Our college conduct a lots of group discussion about social topics thats help us.
A lots of fest is held in our college so cultural life is great.
Dislikes
The 75% attendance policy that disappoint me.
The sports facilities I think should be more.
The labs should be developed. There should be new machines instead of the old ones.
Admission:
The admission process in our college is HS percentage cut off basis but prioritize subject for Honours courses according the subject.
The application form is available after HS in the college website till around 1 month.
The reservation facilities is available in our college for admission.
I think there should be a personal interview of every student want to get admission in our college.
Actually it's the main stream or general stream from our state (West Bengal)education system. If you promoted with pass marks of any respected schools of our state you will be submitted your application via online if any course in colleges. mainly arts, science, commerce that three streams are chosen by you but if you want then other ways of stream will be provided college otharity.
We have a gateman at the gate. Two for the back gate.
There is a library and a garden which creates a good environment for good studies.
Dislikes
Politics in college which I don't like at all.
Lack of teachers to teach sports.The annual sports competition is not like that

If you get more than 80% marks in class twelfth you can get admission in this college.After that the merit list comes out and those who have their names get admission in this college .This is how the admissions project works.
I like the Library it's full of books and the librarian is also very helpful. The study area is also there
I like the campus it's greenary, most of the buildings are new. The location of our college is very good very close to the bus stand.

The infrastructure is good but there is no wifi service but routers are there,but teachers didn't gave us the password
Admission:
There was no entrance exam in our college every depends on your 12th board exam marks. You can get the application form in the college website the admission process is hastle free you just need to pay the admission fee which is 1300 to 1800 rupees depending on the subject. Reservation benefits are there, the cut offs are usually high if you compare it to other colleges.

Yes, Acharya Brijendra Natha Seal College offers Geography courses to the students. The Geography course is offered at UG and PG levels.
