- Second i like the supportive faculty members who are very lenient and kind.
- Third I like the overall easy curriculum and exams of my college which makes it easy for students to pass their exams.
Dislikes
- I don't like the infrastructure of the college as it's quite old and needs to be repaired.
- Second i don't like the backdated curriculum taught here.
- Third i don't like the campus and social life here much.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum taught here is outdated and is not the present industry knowledge which is a bad thing. Teachers also teach in the outdated method and in bookish manner and focus on just passing. Exams are held here after every 6 months on semester wise.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total course fees for my college is 10,500 rs which is divided into 4 years. The Registration and admission fees were 2000rs. Books are needed to be brought separately on our own. Exam fees are charged separately. Other than this we don't have any other hidden charges. My batchmates pay the same fees for everything. My college also offers a state scholarship named Swami Vivekananda merit cum means which pays around 12,000 per year which includes all the college fees, hostel fees, stationery, books, laptop and phone.
Campus Life
Campus Life is not there as much. Our college also doesn't indulge much in extracurricular activities too. There are no college societies or groups other than political parties union groups. Overall it's not like private colleges and other good government colleges.
Admission
I chose this college because I didn't have much options for me as i didn't get admission in other government colleges and couldn't afford private colleges. Talking about the admission process then it's very simple. We just need to apply in a website called wbcap and then get admission on merit basis.
Faculty
Faculty members are very less and limited. In my department there are only two teachers who manage and teach all the subjects in all semester which is not good. Exams are very manageable here if being prepared sincerely and majority of the students manage to pass easily.
Night Life
We don't have gym, cafeteria or any public area for students. We do have a library which closes at 5pm as the college closing time. Hostel timings are also flexible and lenient. There is no famous hangout place outside our college as such. We don't have anything like night life in our college.
Other Applied Colleges
Birpara College | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}
As i thought that Alipurduar College where I am currently studying is better than Birpara College.
