Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason I choose this college is I want to pursue MBA in future so that I can study B.com honours from here. The faculty members are nice to everybody and teach well and if you ask them any question they respond greatly. For my semester there are 4 section 100 student each. Faculty members are highly educated and the way they teach is unexpenable, they solve doubt in seconds and teach in a friendly way. I have not gone through from any term exams but every year there is 2 exam and the difficult level is very high because it is under Calcutta University.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Because it is my first semester I haven't done any internship but as I know from my seniors Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC offers internship in our college and the stipend starts from 2-3 thousand per month. You can join finance ,audit ,marketing department in the internship and gain experience.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college provide placement. For getting placement you have to complete the full course and after getting the degree you will be eligible for campus placement. The company that vists in our college is Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC and many other company. The highest package is approx 5 lpa and average package is 2.5 lpa. The rare of placement is approximate 65 %. My plan after getting the degree is to look for a placement and then study for MBA .

Fees and Financial Aid

Because it is a government college fees is very low, first year examination fee is 500 and admission fee is 450 so total it is 850 and for each exam you have to give 500 so it is really affordable for students. You will receive scholarship ,you can also do internship in your second year and after completing the course which is of 4 years you will get a good placement in college campus

Campus Life

4

We were all informed about the fests which held in campus in the very first day of our college. There's many fests that happens in our college. The famous fest of our college is 'Quest' which is of 3 days and after that a 'Social' held in December month and 'Freshers', Holi ,Teachers' Day are celebrate by college union every year. Our college library is one of the biggest library in the city ,you can find every book in the library. In the month of December and January many inter college sport event are organised and for extra curricular activities you can participate in the fests and a certificate will be provide to you. There are a Union in our college which is very powerful.

Admission

Admission process is pretty simple. No entrance exam is needed. After registering in the college's website you have to submit your details and if you meet the cut off then simply pay the fees and your admission will be done. Cut off : General-92, Sc-83, St- 70, obc -90 (for last year) Eligibility- 12th pass with 65% Everything relating to the admission will be in the college website like dates, form, fess. The improvement I want to see is the online verification instead of offline verification.

Course Curriculum Overview:

• The specific aspects of the curriculum are the subjects including in this course are related to the industry that will help students to build their career in this competitive world and I choose the course as I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for real world applications as there are subjects like management that helps students to understand things very clearly and apply it in the real world. • The frequency and timing of exams is perfect and my perspective on the difficulty level is that the exams are not at all difficult.
