Likes

I liked the campus, department buildings.
Canteen is good and affordable foods are available
Library and labs are big and loaded with needed books and equipments.

Dislikes

I didn't like the location of the college.
The place is very remote and many essential things are not available in surrounding
The transport system is not good. Which cause many problems

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I like ECE and it is one of the best option according to my rank. Faculty of this college is very good they treat us like family. Student ratio of our class is 4:1. Term exams taken according to notice from University.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Placement Experience

Year by year the placement accuracy is growing. Not so much students get placed in on campus placement. But many students of this college does good in GATE and other competitive exams and doing higher studies in many renouned colleges like IIT & IIST.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a government college, the fees are so low. Academic fees per semister is approximately 6500/- which is easily affordable. College gives so many scholarship links. Campus job is decent and average package is 5.5 LPA

Campus Life

Campus size is decent not so large. Hostels are available for girls first year to fourth year but for boys only third and fourth year. First and second year students need to stay at mess houses near college campus they doesn't get hostels.

Admission

You have to secure a good rank in west bengal joint entrance examination and go through councelling process. You can find application form in official website of wbjee (wbjeeb.nic.in) The OBC,SC and ST candidates get reservation as per govt. Guidlines.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placements . Companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM,Amazon and many more visits the college and companies like TCS and Wipro take mass recruitment and companies like Amazon offers 2-3 job . Approximately 85 percent of the students gets placed . My plans after getting the degree is to get a Software Developer job

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

From fifth semester you are eligible for the intership . And from seventh semester you are eligible for the placement. Many companies visited our college such as TCS , IBM ,COGIZINANT, amd many more . The highest package is around 15 lpa and the average package is 4 - 5 lpa . The placement ratio is around 80 - 85 %

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

A brief overview of RKMGEC

The main reason students come to this college is because of the fact that fees are affordable and also this is purely government college. Admission process is quite easy you need all the necessary documents (Aadhar, Pan, etc) along with your WBJEE scorecard and rankcard.
